Post some pics.No but its a bit heavy and long to take to work, but at home or on a long trip its the ticket. The one I use at work is a RS 4 inch project box with 4 14500 3.6v 900mah batts, 2 series RS batt holders in parelle with a TI reg, getting 7.2v at 1800mah, reged to 5v and will last 2 days, I have not found out how long my Super Bolt will last yet. Thanks St Larence great modd but I sodered my botton copper connector on pipe so batts won't push it off and used a spring with the metal peice out of a AA batt box sodered in screw on cap on bottom, spring stays put!

I rarely take the time to post comments on mods because of lack of time and the mods usually leave me thinking deeply with ideas on my own mods.... I think many of us are guilty of this without meaning to be. It's actually a compliment that is never registered by how many responses are in a thread but is by how many views the thread has.
But....... this is like my third visit to this thread and I just gotta say...... that is a beautiful battery tube, HippyGirl! It is a work of art compared to so many of the others.
Have you polished it now and added anything? Silver? Brass? Would love to see pics if you have. Thanks for sharing! Beautiful!

I've made 6 of these so far but that's the only pic I took (I don't know WHY this is the only one I took, but it is...).
Going a bit OT to share a little history so no one thinks I'm slacking here...
On 1/26, I was "involuntarily retired" from my job of 15 years (which is just a snazzy way of saying I got canned!) so that the owner's best friend's son could have my job. As I do NOT wish to work for anyone else (ever again), I've decided to go back to my metalsmithing/jewelrymaking/casting and see if I can make it as an entrepreneur. ANYWAY...I had to completely re-purpose my studio and it took a lot of time and effort.
So, as you can see, I've been through a few changes lately and had to re-group, but I'm ready to go now. DH built me a new jeweler's bench, installed an exhaust system for my torches (which I didn't have before), and a dust collection system for my polishers. So, having said all that, tomorrow is my first day "on the job", so to speak...I just applied resist to a tube and will be etching it in the morning.

I don't know much about these types of mods yet, but from the pics I've encountered in my browsing- this one is really great looking! (then again I've always been partial to copper - I've always thought it's beautiful!)

now that is a great story actually! One of the good things about this horrible recession is that it is sending people in new (or renewed) directions. Forcing the ingenuity and determination from us once again.
I wish you the best of luck with your endeavor... you certainly have the artistic talents. That is priceless.... it comes naturally and cannot be bought or taught. You have been blessed and now you are finally being forced to use it!

That's the madvapes 2A switch with a round nut I had laying around. I'll see how it holds up. It does have a nice feel... for now.

I spent 45mins using a pipe cutter, cutting down a 22mm copper end cap.
Very thick copper on the end caps I had.
But worth it.
Just like to say thanks, I would not of thought of it without reading this thread.
