Hey members, I woke up this morning worried about how many places online I have used my bank card. In buying my supplies to begin my vaping life I compared HUNDREDS of sites, and bought each thing I have from a different company it seems. I never found one site that had everything I wanted for the lowest price. One site would have one thing I wanted at the lowest price but the prices for the other things I wanted wouldn't be the lowest, and I ended up with packages coming from all over the country, and probably 10 different companies now have my card number on file.

Today I am waiting on packages from two different companies again....yes, I have spend alot upfront but it will be worth it in the end, but I HATE having to give out my card number to so many places. I always use paypal for my online purchases, but not many ecig companies seem to offer the option of using paypal. I wish that I could find one site, preferable in the southern states (so shipping wouldn't take so long) that offered everything I want and need, at the best possible price. Is that too much to ask?:p

My husband is now showing interest in vaping, so that has upped the ante on my buying. I LOVE the fact that he seems willing to give it a go, but he of course prefers my ego, which has left me with the reg510 batteries from my starter kit, and they just don't last. He saw some guys at the shooting range that were using mods (these wooden box things he called them) and he said he had wondered what the heck they had, so if he really is seriously going to join me in vapage, I will soon be looking for a mod for him.

I have found my "sweet spot" finally though. An Ego with a 2.0 carto filled with 80/20 32mg creme caramel. YUMMMMM. I intersperse it with some cherry ice, to cleanse the palate. lol

Sorry for the long rant, and thank you veteran members for your guidance and experience. If anyone has recommendations for southern vendors, I would be grateful to hear them. I saw links for gotvapes, and vapor station, both southern, but one has almost no hardware, but great juice reviews, and the other seemed to have lots of hardware, less info on Juice, sigh.....

I've been shopping online for years and never had an issue. I've never been able to order everything from one vendor. But I shop price. If you don't care about price but want to buy everything from just one vendor, you could probably do that from Mad Vapes, Good Prophets, nhaler. All carry a huge amount of juice and supplies.

IMO, paying a bit more for consolidating an order as much as possible as well as the time involved in searching is money saved (time is money) .. paypal has rules against tobacco products ..

A vendor should consider opening a Super Site .. it would likely be a go to place if they did ..

yeah, I would like to use PayPal as well but they will ban the accounts found purchasing it selling ecig stuff. :( I assume most vendors don't want to take the chance of someone not knowing that and labeling their PayPal trans as someone innocent like "ecig purchase" and getting banned.. with money in the account! I don't think PayPal should have such a right but they apparently do.

I have to wonder how much you spent on shipping, and how that affected the savings you got by placing small orders at several companies vs. a large order at one company. I typically try to bundle up as much as possible in a single order, so I don't get that $5.99+ shipping charge over and over again.

Many smaller vendors likely do not have your creditcard info and use some third party processor who abide by strict rules from Visa and MasterCard as well as the banks they work with. Paypal is just a different 3rd party. What makes you trust paypal more, is it due to their size? They aren't even a terribly reputable company either. There's really no reason to trust them more than anyone else.

Credit Card (not debit card) is fine to use online and likely your best bet. It's likely safer than you giving your credit card to a waiter in a restaurant or a gas station attendant. Even cashiers in regular stores can steal your CC info easily right in front of you and you likely wouldn't even notice.

If you get fraudulent charges just call the credit card company and you'll get your money back. I've never had any hassle at all anytime this has happened. Obviously it's good to keep an eye on the activity in your account so you can spot any.

I bought one of my kits from Liberty Flights and they took Paypal. The other two vendors did not, and like, you, that didn't sit well with me - but, instead of using my debit card, I used a credit card so that way if the number was ever stolen or misused at least it wouldn't affect my bank account while waiting to clear everything up ;-)

I know, huh,one of my first purchases after the tiny 510, was an ego-t passthrough, forgot the cone, ordred it, 2.99 shipping for each piece, $2.99 shipping is quite reasonable, 'til you start adding it to each separate piece you order!! I have only done that once though. Mostly I have looked for low price, as well as low shipping, but still, the next day, I will read on the forum about a vendor I hadn't heard about previously, I will check them out, and they have the very thing I ordered the day before and thought I had lowest price, and the new one will be lower.. maddening.

This is why I have a wish to find a southern vendor with OVERALL reasonable prices, and just stick with them for everything, even if a few of the items from them are not the cheapest available online. I am TIRED of searching and searching, and then waiting and waiting(on shipping).

Liberty Flights is a UK based company so they can use paypal. Unfortunately you also get hit with a foreign currency charge when you use your CC with them, even on the US site :/

In general I think it is more dangerous to take out your credit card in a store and hand it to a cashier, or to eat in a restaurant and give it to your server, than to buy through secure payment processing online.

Note though - when I buy online I always make sure "remember my credit card information" is NOT checked. I do not want my credit card data stored on the vendor's site. And when possible I use Paypal.

I did have a problem with someone getting my cc info and racking up huge charges at a store I'd never heard of in a state I've never been to. And I'm very careful about who I buy online from. As dormouse said, handing over your card in a store is probably less secure than an online merchant using encryption, so it could have been from an in-person purchase. Had to close that account and get a new card issued. I signed up the "Shop Safe" program that B of A (my card issuer) offers. Every time I make an online purchase, I generate a new card number that goes to my real account. I set the credit limit on it for just a few dollars more than the amount of the purchase I'm about to make, so no one can use it again. I just feel a lot more at ease that way.

As has been stated above, most of these vendors/websites never see your credit card info. All the transaction portion is handled by a third-party merchant service. It's framed into their website so it looks like you are doing all of your business through them, but in actuality someone else is handling the transaction.
