My Daughter is joining the Air Force

As most of you know, I have 6 children, 3 boys and 3 girls.
My oldest daughter is taking her last test on Wed of this week and joining the Air Force.
I am proud, scared, sad for me and happy for her, all rolled into one.

I totally understand. My daughter joined the army 12-13 years ago. I freaked out big time tho.

I spent 3 years in the Army...it's such a great experience for personal growth. If I could do over though, I'd probably choose the AF. Best wishes to her!!!

I was in the Air Force for 11 years and LOVED it! I got to go to Germany for three years and Alaska for 3 years. It was so much fun! Congrats to her.

Like I said I know this will be wonderful for her and she out of all my girls will excelle.

She has to leave her dog behind (Golden Retriever) we can not take care of it for her because we travel with work all the time, but a wonderful family has stepped up to care for the dog while she is inlisted

She is wanting to train for special ops, we will see, she is a tiny little thing but tough, they already told her she was not tall enough to fly.

LOL, yep she is a tough one, stands about 5.1 / 105lbs soaking wet, pure muscle...she played Rugby in college and was 1st string.
She wants special ops, she is not sure she will get it

my niece just joined the AF and wants munitions..not sure what they do but it sounds like things go boom a lot. She is also tiny and a firecracker..that was a poor choice of words with munitions!
Congrats to you and your daughter, Coming from an A.F. brat and wife..it's a heck of a life!

Congrats to you and your daughter! I'm trying to steer my daughter towards the military. It would be great for her. She's thinking Navy. San Antonio is HOT but the instructors will make sure she drinks plenty of H2O

Wow Look, I really don't know WHAT to say...I'd be scared sh!tless if Payton wanted to enlist during an active conflict time, but I WOULD be proud of her..hard corner you're in!

What does she hold degrees in? Can she not find work in the public sector or does she just want to enlist?
