There have been a lot of questions lately on coil setups for the ODY. here is my Dual coil setup. This is based off the video with the .9 ohm dual coil. Its made the same way, only it is 1.6ohm and I am using the stock silica wick.

I use two pieces of the wick and wrap the wire around them both.

After setting the coil and wick in the ceramic, I unbraid the wick all the way to the coil. This way the wick takes up the space in the channels and prevents the liquid from passing into the cup.

Now the negative wire, I put behind the retaining ring in the the bottom thread of the ceramic housing. This allows the ring to fit flush with the base and makes good contact with housing.

After everything is set, separate the coils the best you can, and try to give a little space in between them.

The end result should look something like this..

If you have any questions, feel free to ask... More pics of the coil are available. If need be I could make a video.
I will also make one for the single coil if people wish.

Excellent point :) I did this on my last build, just happened to notice that there was enough room between the bottom of the ring and the ceramic to do so and gave it a shot. I didn't put much wire there at all, just to the edge of the ceramic. It works flawlessly

Sticking the nr wire under the ring like imeo and scott (igetcha69) originally suggested has worked great for me up until this point, so I still haven't tried this method. I'll give it a try in my next rebuild.

Nice looking dual coil btw! What voltage are you vaping that coil at?

Thanks for posting, it made me revisit dual coils. The very first Ody coil I made was a dual, and of course at that time I was a newb to the Ody and was too careful, too petrified I was going to electrocute myself, etc. The result was not satisfactory and I abandoned duals from then on.
Now that I'm a "pro" and know how forgiving the Ody is and have developed my own methods for wrapping and wicking, I gave it another shot today. My, my, my, I'm making myself sick. :D
