After a bout of illness just over 2 weeks ago, and not being able to really enjoy the taste of my trusty fags, I decided it was time to finally give up.
I decided the cold turkey method would be best for me as I have failed miserably in the past with patches and gum, and smoked my last one at 7PM on the 28th November. The first few days were pretty rough, I found it hard to stay awake, but then suffered through broken sleep. I felt dizzy, had no appetite, major flatulence
and constipation, and was a real pain to live with. 
Nevertheless, I soldiered on, and by the 5th day I was feeling great. For some weird reason after I'd made it through the week, my cravings came back with a vengeance and I was ready to chuck the whole thing in and start smoking again.
I had been struggling with these demonic cravings and then stumbled across this site (thank God!). I found 2 crummy suppliers here in Oz (unfortunatley) but I was desperate and ordered my first starter kit.
I had no intention in trying the nicotine version....since I've gone this long without it, I'm not about to get stuck in that cycle again. My reasoning for ordering an E-Cig is that I simply miss smoking. I miss holding it, blowing smoke and the social aspects of the habit as I'm sure most of you understand.
It arrived yesterday and after reading most of your fabulous instructions and watching the videos here, I was able to assemble it right away and loaded my no nic cartridge (after impatiently charging the batteries!). I got a bit of fluid in my mouth in the beginning and I didn't like the taste to begin with, but after a few hours of taking a suck here and there, it began to grow on me. It was handy during a phone call, skype session, drive to work....kept my fingers busy and surprisingly I am not psychotically craving nicotine.
My instruction booklet was pretty funny - I felt as though it had been run through Google translator
I ordered some Menthol Carts to try, as unfortunatley that is ALL that's available here at the mo. Boy, If I could find a cheap (and reliable) enough supplier I could make a fortune distributing here....lol
Any other Aussies here that can reccommend where O/S to buy the liquid would be great.....I'm sure the thread is probably here somewhere so I'll keep looking in the mean time.
