Thanks again all for your helpful replies.

It was pretty clear from my initial research that advanced vapers prefer the liquid method. I got scared off by all the terminology and stuff I didn't recognize, so I looked for a simple and straightforward starter kit, which is why I chose V2. But I did, as I noted earlier, just put in an order for the Apollo eGo "superior" starter kit, and if I'm not mistaken that is a more complicated liquid deal. Unfortunately my first order was for 14mg liquid.

In any case, I have kind of a technical question for anyone who uses Apollo eGo. What I would like is basically this: some sort of "holding tank" (clearomizer?) for the liquid that is big enough to not need refilling every day or two. Here are the ones they say are compatible with what I ordered:

CE4 Clearomizer
Viva Nova tank Clearomizer
T3 Bottom Coil Clearomizer
Titan Clearomizer

I'm not really clear on what the difference is between a clearomizer and a cartomizer, but here's what they say I can get:

Refillable 510 (single coil)
Refillable 510 (double coil)
Dual-Coil tank

So, basically, which clearomizer and which cartomizer is best here, in terms of longevity (not needing to be replaced that often) and holding capacity (amount of fluid)? And, aside from that, which are the best (if the best are different from the longest lasting and most capacious)?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I smoked "lights" and need 24 and 36 strength ... there seems to be a really strong individual variation and I agree with everyone who said don't worry about the nic level if it is feeling right for you, and vape as much as you need to especially in the beginning.

I am quite inexperienced (know nothing about cartomizers) and of what you mentioned I have only used the Vision and the Mini and regular Vivi Novas; none of which will get me through a day without refilling but I liked that they were quite simple for a beginner. You might want to keep in mind that a lot of people end up liking different flavours and/or strengths through the day so you might end up finding you prefer having several reasonable sized units available anyways.

Good luck - someone who knows more than me will be along soon!

that kit uses standard 510 threads

so most things will fit it

in general
clearos are clear and use wicks
cartos are metal and use filler

carto tanks are normal cartos that go inside tanks to hold more

clearos can be cleaned easily
cartos just refill until it taste muted/ burnt

clearos are nice if the coil is replaceable, keeping cost down
cartos are 'cheaper' and can be tossed after they stop working

it all depends on what you like better, to give you a good item to buy
also good to know if you want to stay with that vendor

It's so nice to know I'm not alone. I'm having a hard time finding a level that works for me. I started with 18 but felt it was too much for me after a couple weeks, so I dropped to 12. I now find myself constantly vaping, and feeling a little embarrassed. Silly I know, that's why I'm so glad I found this site!! I just started reading posts but any feedback is greatly appreciated.

vaping 'a lot' low is better then vaping to much high
just do whats feels right to you, and forget about what people think
you are becoming healthier, leaving all that tar behind

i vape wherever i want, when ever i feel i need some, people really dont care
dont feel embarrassed

Its not just nicotine that you are going to feel the withdrawl from. You maybe getting your nicotine but your body will still crave what ever the heck all those other chemicals are in cigarettes. The first month for me was the hardest. I had aches and pains, but that was explained to me that my body was getting rid of all the carbon monoxide I have been inhaling.

After about a month you are home free! You will sooo much better and if you are like me even the nicotine cravings almost stop. I can go hours without vaping and that never happened when I smoked.

If the Apollo eGo is a re branded JoyTech it fires @ 3.3 volts. If it's a re branded Smok Tek eGo it fires @ 3.7 volts.

Titan Clearomizer

I've used CE4 Clearo but switched to the Vision Mini Vivi Nova because the build quality is far superior. Haven't used the T3 but friends did and they had leaking issues- some love them while others hate them. The Titan Clearo (6 ml) is too large and would look funny on your eGo IMO.

Cartomizer/ Carto- metal tube with stuffing and element. Holds anywhere form 1- 4 ml of juice. Carto is fully saturated and must be occasionally refilled when juice runs out. My Cartos last 1-2 weeks. Best Cartomizer I’ve found is the Smok Tech XL 1.7 single coil. Boge 2.0 ohm cartos will give a cooler vape. Always use single coil cartos with 3.3- 3.7 PVs for the best vape.

Carto+Tank- a Carto with a hole punched in it. Carto is than placed in a glass, metal or plastic tank which is filled with juice- juice saturates Carto by way of hole in Carto. My Cartos with a tank last, before tight draw occurs: light juices- 80-90 ml. dark juices- 50-60 ml.

Clearomizer (includes the Stardust and the Vivi Nova Tank)- a plastic or metal tank with a wick and element. Contains NO stuffing. The rebuildable clearos come with heads (coil+ wick) that can be cheaply ($2.00) and easily (10 secs) replaced. When the head burns out simply unscrew the old head out and screw in new head- takes 10 secs. My Vivi Nova heads are lasting about 10+ weeks BUT I wash the heads every few days. I've found the Vivi Nova to give the best draw. If buying the Vivi Nova be absolutely sure you only buy the Vision brand. Knockoffs/ clones are problematic. There are 2 sizes- 2.0 ml and 3.5 ml- the Mini Vivi Nova (2.0 ml) looks best on the eGo.

Dual coils cartos will give a weak vape and drain the batts slighter quicker. On my eGo style PVs I use single coil 1.7- 2.0 ohms delivery device (holds and vaporizes the juice)
