I've searched and searched for this info and can't find anything so here I am calling on all my helpful friends for an answer. I read the instructions that came with it and it said a two hour charge is needed for a fully discharged battery but nothing about the first time charge. I'm going nuts here wanting to try it out and it's been charging for nearly 4 hours and still isn't green. Do I need to wait for the green light or is the Ego like the 510 in that the batteries need no training. I don't want to mess up the life of it if it needs a really long charge before I use it for the first time but sitting here staring at that red light and wanting to dive into it is almost more than I can stand! Help!

No worries Lynda!

AS long as your light is green, you are good to go! Most ego batts come mostly charged. I have 10 of them and didnt wait the full charge time on any of them, and all but two are going strong. (Those two had some other issues that were fixed asap)

HAppy vaping and enjoy your ego!

Welcome, when I received my Ego kit from Janty, it came with two batteries...One I put on the charger and the other I couldn't wait, so right out of the box...I used it...worked great...The one I charged took less then 1 hour to charge....Try taking the battery off your charger and re-screwing it on the charger slowly...Also, I found that for my Ego auto batteries, I have to "unscrew them" a little from the charger for them to connect correctly....The best of luck....and hope you love your Ego and I do mine....Again,
Welcome and Enjoy the Adventure...
