Greetings, all! Finally hit the 5-post minimum so thought I'd share this in case it might help anyone else looking for a (arguably) better eGo PCC solution.
After getting the stock eGo PCC I couldn't help but think that two different designers were involved. Probably a decent mid-level mechanical engineer on the battery/holder design - sure, it's a bit thick but it gets the job done and I really can't ding it for anything. But the outer case... seriously? A flappy thing with a tiny magnet? Someone was not on their game that day.
Something had to be done.
After having things drop out of it once too often, I was on a quest. Sparing the details on the search, I figured a good case should be somewhere about the size of a Nintendo DS/DSi/DS Lite. And I wanted something in a semi-hard case with a zipper that wasn't in arm/leg territory. What came out of the search was this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004U6MFAI.
The PC part of the PCC was ripped from its cover, some sticky stuff cleaned off the back and the plan was to use strong double sided tape to hold it in. However, that would have left the PC part either too low in the case to easily charge it, or too high in the case to zip it up with attys & tanks attached. Luckily, the case has two elastic straps that very nicely hold the PC in place and allow it to be nudged up a little for getting to the USB Mini-B connector. And... here's the result:

The rest was easy - just load it up! The only thing I would have liked better is if the mesh pocket on the side was larger. But for $6.00 or so shipped, I really can't complain and it's served me well for a couple of weeks now. I'll see if posting a pic works in case anyone else is interested in doing this for themselves.
Happy vaping!
