Greetings, all! Finally hit the 5-post minimum so thought I'd share this in case it might help anyone else looking for a (arguably) better eGo PCC solution.

After getting the stock eGo PCC I couldn't help but think that two different designers were involved. Probably a decent mid-level mechanical engineer on the battery/holder design - sure, it's a bit thick but it gets the job done and I really can't ding it for anything. But the outer case... seriously? A flappy thing with a tiny magnet? Someone was not on their game that day.

Something had to be done.

After having things drop out of it once too often, I was on a quest. Sparing the details on the search, I figured a good case should be somewhere about the size of a Nintendo DS/DSi/DS Lite. And I wanted something in a semi-hard case with a zipper that wasn't in arm/leg territory. What came out of the search was this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004U6MFAI.

The PC part of the PCC was ripped from its cover, some sticky stuff cleaned off the back and the plan was to use strong double sided tape to hold it in. However, that would have left the PC part either too low in the case to easily charge it, or too high in the case to zip it up with attys & tanks attached. Luckily, the case has two elastic straps that very nicely hold the PC in place and allow it to be nudged up a little for getting to the USB Mini-B connector. And... here's the result:

The rest was easy - just load it up! The only thing I would have liked better is if the mesh pocket on the side was larger. But for $6.00 or so shipped, I really can't complain and it's served me well for a couple of weeks now. I'll see if posting a pic works in case anyone else is interested in doing this for themselves.

Happy vaping!

Wow! - What a steal at this price. Thanks! - I just ordered 2 of them.

Great - will more than likely get one ...
Question - do you get a full 3 charges to your eGo batts with this PCC unit.
I only get 2 - and 2nd charge brings on the red light - mabe not even fully charging batt ...
I do use a Riva rather than eGo - maybe the Riva batts use more power to charge.
maybe I should question this elsewhere ...

With the 650mah batteries, I have gotten three charges out of it before. The second and third charges do seem to take progressively longer than the first.

Mixed between a 650mah and a 1000mah battery, I've seen two good charges but a third didn't seem to finish. Which makes sense, given the PCC's battery rating of 2000mah.

Thanks ...
Riva batts rated at 750 - sooo should do at least 2 full charges ...

Was looking on Reviews - web page - from where I purchased - Noticed some stuff my PCC dont do :(
Maybe a dud...
Mine does not seem to have LCD indicators working during eGo batt recharge and completion ...
LCD ony goes RED when PCC bat needs recharging - + GREEN when PCC bat charged...
Does yours have LED's operating during eGo batt charge or its completion???

Problem is I cant tell when PCC has finished charging inserted batt - and I wonder if it somehow keeps charging or expelling power (how + to where?) ... most eCig chargers have a shutoff and green LED - my PCC ony for it's batt ...

Mine has one LED near the USB port that, as you describe, turns on Green when fully charged and Red when it needs to be charged and while charging. No other LED on the PCC itself indicating eGo battery charge state.

However, the LED on the button of my eGo batteries lights up when connected for charging, stays on while charging and turns off when fully charged. So there's really no need for an LED on the PCC. Perhaps some eGo-type batteries don't work this way? Mine are the new ones with the 5-click On/Off feature.

Thanks for this ...
My PCC LED's go not go on at all when charging (except when out of power to charge)
Only acts as indicator for PCC batt.

I mix and match batts -
Riva - 750 rating
eGo (older - not as u describe) 650
eGo with USB passthrough built in (also no led on during charge) - Usefull thing though

I have ordered some new eGo batts - not sure I as u describe ...
Thanks again ................................................................................................................
