First post here. I have smoked a pack a day or more for 33 years of American Spirit's which was my preferred brand. Now that they have gone up to 9.00 a pack or more, I figured I'd try the ecigs. After vaping occasionally over a month with an ego-c and still smoking analogs, I got a Green Smart Living ecig and haven't gone back to analogs yet in 15 days now! I got 2 Green Smart Living setups so I always have a charged one. I keep the ego-c for times when I want a stronger tasting hit or when my others need charging. I find I don't care as much for the ego-c because the liquid seems to kind of seep up the mouth piece at times and it gets in my mouth a bit and also the smaller ecig seems to have a lighter taste that isn't quite as overpowering. I just bought both types of vape devises at my local headshop as those are the only two types they have there.

I was a bit upset about the price of the cartridges for the Green Smart Living, but just found out that I can refill them so that solved that problem. I like the Acai and peach flavor cartridges. I also have a melon flavor to refill them with. I pretty much gave up on trying to find one that tastes like a cigarette, but now I'm pretty happy with the lighter fruity type flavors which don't get too strong or sickening like some other flavors do, and they smell good too. They actually seem to make the air smell better!

It seems like most of the vapers I see on here prefer the ego-c type of ecigs, but I really enjoy the taste of the smaller type of ecig that is light and smaller and that I don't have to push a button to smoke. I'm not entirely sure why so many don't seem to like the mini cigs, aside form the shorter battery charge I don't see a down side really. I've read that the Volt brand is better so maybe I'll try that also. Can anyone tell me what is better about the Volt?

It's been crazy the way my sense of smell has come back and now I smell so many things every where I go (which can be both good and bad, lol). My yoga instructor noticed my breathing seems deeper now, and I notice I have more energy now with all this extra oxygen in my system! I can smell an analog on someone now even if they haven't smoked in hours and I'm glad I don't smell like that anymore. The ecig has made not smoking so much easier, I can't even believe sometimes how easy this has been to switch!
I was even able to have a few drinks and not smoke and normally that would be impossible.

I just hope that they don't outlaw ecigs because they'll be doing smokers a huge disservice, and it makes me so angry that that they are being banned in some places without any research being done to prove any negative effect.

The only thing I do notice is that I do occassionally have a bit of a "tight" feel in my lungs after vaping...can anyone shed some light on why that is?

I too smoked American spirits, but at half the rate as you. Glad you made the change! If you think you feel better now, wait a couple weeks/months and you'll notice other things as well. My sense of taste is much better, I can smell things better and my sinuses are clear. Actually that just happened today so it will be interesting to see if they stay clear. In the first couple weeks I did occasionally feel a little tight in the chest but it didn't bother me much and I haven't felt it in a week or so.

Welcome firephly to the ECF,
CONGRATS on the 15 days,
If the Green Smart Living setups are working for you, do not change a thing. Glad you found that you can re-fill the cartos. Most of your neighbors have gone on to the eGo type setups, or beyond, to find their individual "sweet vape spot". "One size does not fit all". If you ask, most do not dislike the cig-a-likes, and probably started with them, but have continued their quest to fit that "sweet spot".
Yep, sense of smell comes back, sense of taste, ease of breath,....the list goes on...
The "tight feel" is probably a lot like the feel after getting out of a hot shower...more moisture in your lungs.

Thanks for the responses!
"Most top coil clearos tend to leave juice in people's mouths a bottom coil will help if you like the cartos you can get them 510 thread and use your ego-c with them"
Is this where the "mini kanger tank or evod" come into play then? Some of the talk I've seen about various methods and equipment has been kinda confusing to me.

I've read something about that tight feel being caused by water vapor like you'd get in a steam room or shower, but I'm not sure I have really gotten that feeling from those things like I have experienced from vaping sometimes, maybe I just didn't notice it before after showering...

A while back I had asked my doc to give me a prescription for a nicotine inhaler, after I went to fill it and saw that it cost about $145, I dropped that idea, but it seems to me that an ecig is basically the same thing, isn't it? (and much cheaper!)

May I recommend that you get a mini kanger tank or evod for your ego c and you won't have that issue of the juice coming up the mouthpiece.
Condensation can create the sensation of juice coming up the mouthpiece on these models, but this can be avoided either by drawing more lightly (you don't have to suck a PV the way you do a cig!) and/or occasionally drying some of the tube, especially the mouthpiece, with a pipe cleaner (the real kind, not the craft kind) or Qtip.

I guess like everyone predicts, I decided to upgrade my setup a bit (and so that I will have an extra battery). I still use the Ego-C but I hated having to wait for it to charge all the time so I got another model too. I also decided that the Green Smart Living cigalike wasn't cutting it, and plan to get an ERoll for when I want something smaller.

Here's my new set up, the Ego Spinner with the Pro Tank II. I recommend this to any new comer. I love it!

I ordered some organic juices to try, pretty excited about that.

....and the search for the "sweet spot" continues! LOL!
Find this thread in another 30 days and give us an update. It's pretty cool to check out where you started and your journey as it goes on!
And......a belated "Welcome to ECF!"
BTW: Very good choice, PT2 (I have 4, filled, and on rotation!) and Spinner.......I see a mod in your future (yes, I'm psychic, er, was that psychotic?)...could it be....a Vamo....eVic.........SiD.......Provari? The PT2 will work with most of them with the 510 threading.

I too am at 15 days and the difference in everything is just amazing!! The first 10 days were tough but now I'm vaping freely and breathing so much easier. I've even quit my albuterol inhalor, no need for it now. I'm using an Innokin Itaste V3 and see no reason to switch, working great!! Congrats on getting free from the Bad Boys!!
