I'm becoming a fan of cotton and have been using it in the Eternity. This afternoon I decided to work on the Aga-T which I had put aside out of frustration. I was getting a definite metallic ( iron maybe ) taste and dry, nasty hits if I didn't hold the device a certain way. I also didn't like that my juice was turning black in the tank. So my initial thought was to try an un-oxidized SS wick (been reading the thread re: chromium release from SS wicks).
I rolled a small piece of SS mesh, maybe 18 by 40mm, fairly tight so that it fit loosely in the Aga-T and spun some cotton on the end as suggested. I didn't fire the wick at all, just boiled it and once it was in the hole I wrapped 4 turns (1.9ohms) of 32g Kanthal around the cotton end . No shorts, or errors, and immediately I could taste the difference in flavor.

This is really wicking well. I've changed juice 4 times this evening, from Tobacco to fruity to minty menthol and the flavor change is immediate with no residual taste.

So this is what the genesis fans have been talking about. As Pbusardo said "now I get it!"

Sure- here's the link to this particular cotton:

Amazon.com: 100% Cotton Wicks - Extra Long - Smokeless, 1 Pack Of 50 Wicks: Everything Else

I know there's better instructions in the forum re: this technique, this is where I learned it. Just do a search for cotton-SS hybrid wicks. I just gently drew and rolled one end of the SS wick against the strand of cotton until I had something that looked like an anemic q-tip. The cotton is actually what keeps the SS wick from falling into the tank. Do apply juice to the cotton once the coil is wrapped, make sure its fully saturated, cotton will burn if dry.
Also, a lot of good advice in the "Different cotton for different wicks" thread The best being always use 100% cotton, boil it, and do a scorch test on a sample. I other words, make sure what your vaping is 100% cotton with no fillers or added chemicals.

It will leak when some ejuice goes into the air hole under the coil. Not a lot just a few drops, its hard to tell if it does it every time its filled but it doesn't seem like it. I just vape like normal and at the end of the day clean out the center post. You could always fill it off a device then blow lightly and clean w.e juice comes out.
oh ok. I think I might pick one up to try it out...wast watching a few youtube vids about them tonight

so I picked up an eternity the other day and it just arrived today. I quickly put it together in the dripping configuration and I must say dripping is awesome. I tried it out with a menthol juice I had and the flavor was amazing.

Glad you like it. I have to run mine a low voltage to get a good vape but that's no issue. I did pull out the wick in the spike because it started giving off a slight burnt flavor after a while. Would never use it in tank mode I have gennys for that.

Thanks. I noticed that too, the part about the low voltage. I put it on my eGo-vv and it seems to work best on the lower settings

I have a Phoenix V3 RBA and think it is just fine. It is easy to rebuild and the configuration is simple and can be long or short wicked.

I currently have it short wicked with 4mm of 400 SS mesh and like to use it for trying new flavors. Test taste, rinse, dry burn, repeat.

I previously had it long wick with enough tail on the wick in the well to take 1 ml of juice. So long as you keep the juice below the vent on the side you are good.

I don't quite understand the desire to have juice capacity more than 3-6 drags on a drip mod, that's why I used the shorty wick on the rebuild.

I find it to be an overall great value RBA dripper.

Best of luck, hope this helped.

I seen a video on utube where you can soak the broken atomizer in club soda, then dry it off, heat it up and the atomizer will vape again. I haven't tested it out but the comments seem to be good
I just ordered something called the plunger, looks like a great and easy way to fill and clean out cartos, check it out:

I started off with a Vision Spinner and a regular carto tank. 5 months later, I upgraded to a hybrid mod called the Macaveli 350. I did some research before I bought it and I'm glad I I decided to buy it. I can taste my e-liquids much better and it hits harder. I'm currently using a 4 wrap 32g kanthal with some 325 ss mesh and it's doing a pretty decent job.

I have a Phoenix RBA in the post this will be my first rba to use with my vamo ss that is also in the post. After checking reviews etc I chose the phoenix as it seems simple and effective at a fantastic price I know its not a portable setup but it will be going every place I go.

I have worded a glass 30ml dropped bottle and I will use the vamo in mini mode and only drip a couple of drops at a time when I'm out and about to prevent leaking.

I have a Vision Eternity, a Bully and a Phoenix V3. All of them are good, much better than cartos or ego etc.
In my experience although still good, the Eternity is the most problematic. I'd rank them Bully, Phoenix, Eternity.
I have some BT801s coming and I'm expecting a good experience with them. I'm stocking up on rebuildables in case ecigs get outlawed or the Zombie Apocalypse.

I bought 1000 feet of 32 kanthal wire on ebay and I use dollar store cotton bandage material for wicks.
Buy juice in bulk, it doesn't get much better or cheaper than this.

Also invest in some kind of close up glasses or one of those magnifying head straps from harbor freight, it makes wick building so much easier.

That mag head strap is only $4. I'm on it.

When it comes to rebuilds, I can't seem to avoid hot spots. The eternity is easiest for me to rebuild because the posts are close together. I also have an A8 which is junk IMO, probably because I can't seem to get it set up right. It tasted like .... out the box after cleaning (hot spot on lead). I have a gen T2+, which is too airy but was great for the short time I had it set up right. And, I have a gen S that hit great until I bottomed out and burnt the wick. It was easier to set up than the T2+ because the posts are close together. I also am waiting on a Terminator C. Coiling is so problematic and time consuming for me, I hate it. But, if you get them set up right, they are far better in every way to a nova style. There is a steep learning curve to get them right and mastery is still beyond me at this point, but I am determined.

These are like surfing in quest of the perfect wave. You need skill to get the best ride and you may not know what you have in front of you until you improve your skills. At least I keep telling myself that while trying to fix the hot spots. As for now, I'm a better surfer than atty rebuilder. I'm hopeing the mag head strap will help.

For a dripping RBA I'm liking the A7 (Pegasus) the best so far. The main differences are it has a bottom air hole like a normal atty instead of a side air hole in the cap, and the two half's are threaded together instead of just pushed over an o-ring.
Wrapping coils with a magnifier is tough enough for my 72 year old eyes, I wouldn't even want to try it without a magnifier.
