OK. So a little about myself, Im a 33 year old guy whos smoked most of his life.

Anyways a buddy from Wisconsin told me that vaping helped him quit for 2 months. After going cold turkey for 2 years and starting back up and having a hell of a time quitting again, I had to try it.

So I started off with a blu cig starter kit. 59.99 +15 for extra cartridges (worth every penny and Ill explain why later).

The Blu just didnt have the kick I needed, so after a day or two of blu I found myself back with a pack of cigs. I decided to investigate a bit further into the whole vaping scene.

I came across a site called american e liquid store Electronic Cigarettes | Smokeless Cigarettes | Ecigs and picked up one of their ego c 650 mah starter kits, once i got this thing, i was absolutely floored. It actually satiated my need for a cigarette. BUT the kit itself is flawed, leaks like crazy. They took a return for it, They have incredible customer service and would highly recommend shopping with them.

So after some searching and checking out a few local Vape shops I ended up with a couple of ego c twists and kanger t3s, and i havent had a regular smoke in two weeks.

And now I have a Vamo from fasttech on the way. The girlfriend is taking over the Ego kit.

The point of this post is to let people interested in quitting smoking with vaping to skip the blu, skip the ego starter kit and go straight for at least an ego battery and some clearomizers. DCT and anything with a cartomizer is a lot more hassle than you might want trying to get off the old smokes.

Hopefully this helps.

as for the blu kit, my father a smoker of 30+ years hasnt had a smoke in days since i gave it to him .

and if youre looking for a good place to start go to www.myvaporstore.com and grab one of these

http://www.myvaporstore.com/Vision_Spinner_Joye_Ego_C_Twist_Combo_p/vvs-c.htm

I recommend 2 ego c twist 650 mah and 2 Iclear 16s for your entry into vaping.

*EDIT*

Changed the Kanger T3 Recommendation to Iclear 16s.

Had 3 kanger heads leak like holy hell on me, the iclears seem to be pretty leak free though

Good job - my vaping cycle was/is Mistic (Walmart), Clayton (even cheaper and smaller), Halo G6 kit, overpriced ego 650 kit from local smoke shop, ego 1100 pass through (got caught with all batts dead at once - I am blonde), ego twist 650kit with leaking ce3 clearo's, Vivi Nova's, DIY juice, Vamo (with a second on its way along with an MVP - Fast Tech), AGA-T2 (still having issues building wicks and coils - it is put away for now) VV ego style pass through, kanger Protank and evods

Seems like a lot but I like to have backups for my backups

Smoked 1 1/2 + packs per day for 36 years - the day I started vaping I quit cigs and have not had one since

I went from a Twist to a Sigelei ZMax V3 (it's simiilar to a VAMO). To be honest, the vape isn't so much better on an APV that it's a must have - like it was when moving from your Blu to the Ego setup. There's a bit of a convenience factor with having variable wattage and swappable batteries, and there's the whole "hey look at my cool mod" factor. But, it's also a lot bigger and heaver than the twist. And, like I said, the vape is pretty much the same between the two devices.

Hello and Welcome! Congratulations on everyone making the switch to vaping! When I started out, I skipped all the smaller products and cig-a-likes and went directly to the Vamo V2. I have absolutely no regrets whatsoever! I love the experience I get from my Vamo. From the first vape, I was off the cigarettes totally. Hopefully you will enjoy yours as much as I do mine!

Same story for me also...17 year smoker, pack a day. I picked up a blu and some menthol tips. Didn't cut it.

A close friend had an ego so I picked up an ego t and haven't smoked since I got it a month ago. I just ordered an eVic and should get it the end of this week. Pretty excited about that!

I should of read around the forum before I bought it though, I'm sure ill regret buying it after lurking around.

Would you suggest the eGo Twist over the regular eGo? I've been on the hunt for a black eGo Twist but all are out of stock for 650-900mah :(

Without a doubt. I had a lot of trouble using anything but the tiny atomizers and tanks that came with the regular ego. I had to buy a twist in order to get a decent vape off any tanks etc.

May be just me, but can never hurt to have a more versatile device. They are a little longer, but well worth it imo.
