I think the Kanger E-smart ecig batteries use the 808D-1 style threading,...... which is a better place to start then the disposable ecigs,...
but once you get on the "vape ride" you may find yourself with a streak
of "Tim the Toolman Taylor", and wanting more bigger toys

I know I have,....fell in love with the Kanger Evod BCC kit after a month, just had to have 2 more BCC tanks and another (LARGER) ego battery

I have been using a Halo Kringles Crisp 12MG until about 10 mins ago. I went and got Total Vapor 24mg Pina Coloda. The amount of Copenhagen I was using warrants the higher mg juice. I think I will give it until Friday, and if I am still dip free, I will go buy my own kit. I can use a girly color for a while I guess....

As a previous poster said, Swedish snus works very well to substitute for the Copenhagen if you need that something extra. I'll go through a can of general white portions every week or so and it's widely available. There is another forum on here dealing with snus as well and some very knowledgable and friendly people there. Just don't vape with a portion in your lip. Made me sick to my stomach!

It is an advantage in a husband and wife team to have compatible equipment. It makes buying, stocking, and learning easier. That being said, I think you would be happier with the ego over the long haul. I've used 808s, e-smarts, and egos. All of them will work but there are just a lot more options for growth with an ego type battery.

I notice the eGO-C marking on your battery. I notice on some other sites the eGO label looks the same but the manufacturer is not listed in the description. Does that mean they were made from different companies despite similar labels?

I smoked cigarettes from 18 to 25 years old. I switched to smokeless tobacco at 25, and been doing it for the last 13 years. My wife, a smoker, switched to vapor last Friday. She purchased the Kanger E-Smart starter kit. I decided to quit dipping, and thought I would give the e-cigs a try to help me quit. I bought a Blu disposable to try, and also using the second battery and a tank from her starter kit, to compare the two separate technologies. The Blu worked really good for the first 3 draws, then nothing. The Kanger is still just as good as the first draw. I have decided to get my own starter kit. I have been doing allot of reading since Friday. I like to try to get all the info I can in order to make the best decisions. I have narrowed it down to the Kanger e-smart kit, or the Joyetec Ego-c kit. Both are available at my local VApor Kings store, with the Ego-c being about $25 more. The Ego-c does not have the visual type tank to allow you to see the remaining juice. I would like to get the Ego-cc since it allows the visual of remaining juice, but the local shop does not sell it.

Am I on the right track? Any info, or anyone use both of these? So far, the vape is working for me. I have been a can to can and half user of Copenhagen for a while. Since I started the Vapor Friday evening, I have had 2 dips. I am excited that I have cut that much out, 2 dips compared to 2 or 3 cans is a great accomplishment for me.

I love stories like this. When I quit I took a bit of a different slant than most others. I was spending over $300 a month on cigarettes so I was going to jump into vaping with both feet, spend some money that I wasn't spending on cigarettes and find the experience that was better, healthier and more satisfying. Failure was not an option. Looks like you guys are doing it right which will ensure your success. From where you are in your journey I would go to variable voltage like a Ego Twist, Ego V or Vision Spinner. I was still blowing through the bigger batteries on these so quickly jumped to a regulated device with an 18650 battery, in my case a Sigelei Zmax. For tanks try the Vision Vivi Nova, Kanger T3s or the Kanger Protank. Best of luck on your journey.

Thanks everyone for your input, support, and comments thus far. We are enjoying the positive parts of vapor over dip and cigarettes. The wife sure smells better, and I have not spit in forever! After jumping up to the highest nicotien level, I can feel a difference, and feel A TON better! Not too crazy about the new pina coloda flavor, but it will do until this weekend when I have time to go sit at the bar at Vapor Kings and test out different flavors.

Yes, it took me a bit to figure this out. My batteries are genuine joyetech. The chrome cap has a logo etched in it also. Lots and lots of other companies offer ego "style" batteries. They are identical in construction, but some have said the insides can be iffy. Buts that's mostly with cheap knock off kitts bought at smoke shops.

But I've noticed that almost every starter kit is based on the ego battery. And all call them ego kits, or ego batteries. As technically that is what the connection threads are. Which makes designating what kit you have tricky sometimes.

The more you read this forum the clearer this will become
