Hey folks. Been lurking around here for a couple of months. Time to join in.
I started smoking about 16 years ago. and never REALLY tried to quit. I did buy a box of patches 2 years ago and after about day 2 was done with them. The fact is, I wanted to SMOKE. The other alternatives out there didn't really appeal to me. I didn't want to switch to chew/snus/gum or any of the other alternatives and gave up the search.
....until February 2011 when a buddy of mine introduced me to pv's. I did about 3 weeks worth of research and was confident this was the solution for me.
Now what PV to get? I needed something portable. Something I didn't have to mess with too often. Something that would last all day. Something that didn't look like a "contraption" LOL. After some more research and reviews I decided the EGO-T was right for me. The 1000mah battery would last all day and it would come with a second battery that could be there for me too. The tank system would mean i'd need to fill it once maybe twice. And it didn't look too "wtf is that thing?"ish
Dear Grimm Green: Why did you have post your EGO-T review a few days after I ORDERED mine??
The EGO-T arrived in the mail a few days after my order and away I went. The first week of vaping was TOUGH. My brain is telling my body to get its ... outside and go smoke. I'm heading to the back door and glance at my ego-t on the way out and tell myself "this is part of the habit, grabbing that box and heading out the back door with your lighter". OK.. vape vape vape.. ok i'm good. After the first week of fighting the urge to use the analogs I was fine. I havn't had an analog since my ego-t arrived.
But.. After about a week of using the ego-t I got sick of it. It was hard to draw, fluid kept building up in the tip and getting into my mouth (yes, i tried taking the guts out of the tip. Still juice buildup) The grape flavored juice I ordered didn't taste very "grapey" (although it smelled very grapey in the bottle). It started to leak out of the ego-t onto the battery/my hands/anything i set it on. Didn't matter what I did or which atty I used it would leak and waste LOTS of juice. I'm NOT stopping vaping over this!
What to do? Lets take inventory here. I had 2 GREAT 1000mah batteries with a 510 connection that fits all kinds of neat toys. And a charger for said batteries. Cartos seemed like the next step for me although most people say the filler taste ruins the experience. After watching some more grimm green reviews I ordered some LiquidXpress 510 Empty Cartos. After having them for 2 weeks I'm currently vaping them now and couldn't be happier. The grape flavor is coming through nicely, the draw is awesome, no filler taste.
I do still need to find something I can take out with me and not have to mess with. MAP Tank? Clearomizers maybe? Not sure what the future holds for me. But i'm positive i've had my last analog.
Pros: I can breathe! No wheezing, breathing easy. I don't stink, the couch doesn't stink, the car doesn't stink, my clothes don't stink. I don't have to stand out in the rain... This paragraph could go on forever and this post is already a bit wordy so I digress.
Cons: Other things stink. And now I notice them. I don't normally have a lighter with me. That's a problem when you're out in the middle of the forest camping and realize too late.
Thats my experience so far. Again, greetings everyone!
