My Experience So Far

I started vaping on May 31 and found this great forum a few days later. Thanks to all of you, I learned a lot on vaping during the last weeks.

My vaping experience has been great. I have been off analogs since day one and I like vaping better than I ever liked smoking, my lung functions and cardiovascular functions are already much improved, and to top it all vaping is much cheaper than smoking... for now.

I am still using my EVOD starter kit and am very satisfied with it, but I will soon get a provari 2.5 in stainless steel finish and a Kanger Aerotank Mega. I do not need those things but I would like to be able to fine tune my vaping, trying different coil resistance and different voltages to find the sweet spot for my juices.
I can see how vaping can turn into a hobby, the pursuit of the perfect vape.

Again, a big thank you to all the posters for sharing your experiences, your technical expertise, your opinions.

While reading the different topics, I also realized that vaping is under threat in several countries, due to possible misguided overregulation and taxation schemes already in place or in the works. Fortunately, we have advocacy organizations. Fortunately also, we are starting to get support from members of the medical community who are starting to realize that even if vaping is not proven to be totally safe, it is much safer than smoking. Those health professionnal focusing on harm reduction understand that the best can be the ennemy of the good.

In the course of my research on vaping, I was amazed to see how fast vaping technology has improved in the last three years, offering options to fit most budgets and tastes.

Looking forward to continue my journey

Welcome and congrats on quitting ! I'm a week ahead of you and also started with an EVOD kit that I still like when I'm out and about. At home I use a provari mini and I can guarantee it will rock your socks. I couldn't believe a mod could make such a difference.

That said, the tank is probably the most important. I use aerotanks (normal and mini) during the day. They're very good. I like the minis better than the normal size. However, if you get an aerotank, get the new one (Aerotank V2) or the mega. The new airflow valve is MUCH better than the previous one.

Now, if you feel like building coils, I'd advise you buy a Kayfun Lite Plus. The EHPro clone is excellent and costs roughly as much as an aerotank. And the difference in taste and vapor quality is incredible. A very good complement to the Provari.

Building coils and rewicking is very easy, much easier than it sounds.

I started at the beginning of May, getting off of a 10 year pack a day habit. I went to a local vape shop and started with a Vision Spinner II and an aerotank. Pretty much quit analogs that day. In between then and now, I've purchased a Vamo V5, Itaste VTR, a Sentinel clone, an eVic, and just recently (a few days ago) a Provari. Plus numerous BDCs, iClear30s, and Kayfun/Russian clones (I'm kind of poor some times :( ) I kind of dove in head first and overwhelmed myself O_O But my Provari is going to be my main and I have to lessen my mods because my girlfriend doesn't like how much money I'm spending on it XD
