Well, I made the switch to eCigs back in August.

My first was one I picked up at the local store, a "Puresmoke" automatic battery.

Switched to a BE-103 at the end of August... Later (mid sept) I got same model, but with a manual battery instead (much better!)

Now, I kinda experiment and try to figure out what works best - gives me the best vapor, best throat hit, best flavor. Man do I have a lot to learn!

I leave the foil on, now, after having removed the bridge and foil before - I find that works better with this particular model for direct dripping. But I have a 510 and some atomizers coming soon, and I'm wondering if this will remain true?

With the bridge on, I see that the coil seems to get clogged up with black - is this normal? I can't really get at it to clean it like I could when removing the bridge.

When I have a new atomizer in, I notice that there's vape coming out around the link up between the battery and the atomizer... as it gets older, it stops coming out there - is there a good way to clean .. Well.. Wherever that's coming out of so it comes out again? heh

Sometimes, I get a 'dry metalic taste' and so I drip on - and then find I've flooded it. So I blow it out and then it works great for a bit (in fact, after flooding and then blowing it out, I sometimes have the best vapor). When they still have the wick in there, that doesn't really happen unless the wick is dry - should I be putting some sorta cloth in there to drop onto the coil to keep it moist, rather than dripping right onto it (And thus, flooding my atty?).

If you didn't remove the wick, the black is probably a burnt wick. There's a youtube vid that shows you how to de-wick.
If you did remove the wick, the black is normal and will wash out. There will always be a 'bar' of something (don't know what it is) that the coil centrally wraps around and you probably shouldn't remove that. (The wick is the stuff outside).
I never heard anyone re-wicking an atty, don't know if it can be done. If you're dripping, you don't really need it.
If you're flooding, just decrease the drops.

With the 103, I think most users 'dip' instead of drip. They put the juice in a contact lens container and dip the mesh into it.

Ah, what I've been doing is using an old cart and putting a little eLiq on the wadding in there - kinda half drip I guess. Just to keep a little on the coil to keep it moist. Will try this! Ordered a 510 anyway and thinking to get some drip tips.
