Been vaping for a month now and lately im incredibly sore around my mouth and nose. It feels like its on fire. My lips seem to be chapped and Ive gone through an entire tube of lip balm that doesnt help. In fact it almost seems like its sealing in the irritants. Ive been flushing my face with water the last 2 days and oddly enough it helps a little bit. Also, the tip of my tongue hurts (tho it got irritated from smoking cigarettes) No other symptoms. Ive been vaping a pg/vg mix and just ordered some 100% vg to try and narrow down whats irritating me. This blows seriously. Ive read through some of the threads but dont see anyone else with quite the same symptoms. Am I alone on this??

Knowing the juice that you are vaping may also help someone be able to help more. It could be a PG reaction, but it can also be a reaction to the juice. I cannot vape cinnamon and a couple of other flavors for example. I had dry lips in the beginning, but not to the extent you are describing. I am assuming you are drinking enough water, but one thing that I found that helped better than drinking water or I should say combined with drinking the water was fresh fruits - the watery kind (canteloupe, honeydew, watermelon, grapes, etc.). There is something with the chewing and the fruit juices that helps a lot with vaping - for me a lot more than just water... Of course I do both...

I'm betting on dehydration. Start drinking more water. Vapor absorbs water from your mucous membranes. It's a humectant.

Dehydration symptoms are similar to winter when the heat runs constantly. Nasal passages, lips, and skin get dry. Vaping adds in the dry mouth effect also, since you are inhaling the vapor through the mouth.

It wouldn't hurt to try all VG and all PG to see if there's a difference.
