My face is peeling like it's dry and I have hundreds of bumps like razor around my mouth and cheeks

I started vaping on the 18th of last month and this started about a week after that once I started hitting it heavy and gave up smoking. My face looks like it's throwing off miniature dandruff flakes all over it. You couldn't put the head of a pin down without being somewhere it's peeling. I have razor burn like bumps where my facial hair grows and my whole face itches and burns. I am really hitting the water heavy and have been for a long time. I never have dry mouth and I am in the bathroom every 30 min. I am going nuts. Has anyone went through this when they started vaping? I don't think I am allergic to the vapor hitting my skin as my throat and mouth are OK. I have been slathering my face in Oil of Olay but that doesn't seem to be helping. I am at a loss. Can anyone help?:(

pg sensitivity is my guess, its drying out your skin but not your mucous membranes, i had a slight chapped lip with a hint of what you described on the edge of my lip/stash area with the flaky skin my second week. i just made sure to wash my drip tip at least twice a day, used good chap stick (burt's bees) and it cleared up for me. i think i also used 50/50 juice for a while but i dont know if that helped or made a difference because since then i've been using 70/30 pg/vg and been fine.

i was hesistant to call it vaping related and banked on it being an extra chapped lip. but i had a slight feeling it had something to do with PG, and after experimenting with pg/vg ratios i've found that i wouldn't call my self pg intolerant, a little pg goes a long way for me, it jumps out to me and too much is not nice. (bad mouthfeel, drys me out, feel ickier, etc etc, ) but i still use 70/30 cause the flavor is nice, and the ickyness becomes a tradeoff.

its winter here and the dry air and pg dry you out a lot more than you realize, since its a liquid its a "wet"sensation but drying if that makes sense.

try less/no pg juice.

Could be the PG then, as I had a bad case of chapped lips I thought was from the flavoring of the clove flavor I was vaping pretty heavy on for about 10 days. It gave me a bad case of Vaper's Tongue and I could often taste the e juice flavor on my lips. I think that Apollo puts a lot of hot cinnamon in their clove. Anyway, I have switched to a 50/50 blend this order so maybe this will clear up in a couple of days. If it doesn't I will go back to the doctor. I was there Thursday for some routine blood work and mentioned it and she just told me to put lotion with aloe on my face. She did say if it didn't clear up to call and she would prescribe something. If I am not better by Tuesday I will call or go back. I just thought maybe this was some common thing to new vapers. I have heard of "quit zits," but that I think would make your skin oily, not dry.

lol. i love these type of threads (not just on ecf) cause everyone goes so crazy about them and automatically says go to the doc now! which is generally good advice since no one here is qualified. but i think things are going fine. OP saw a doctor, they most likely gave him good advice seeing that they are doctors. he just needed some vaper to vaper talk. ( i dont have anyone immediately around that vapes so anything i even think might be vape related i want a vapers opinion on)

i think you got it right tho billtheslink. got a docs advice, got some 50/50 juice in different flavors. now just keep moisturized and give it time to heal and see what you notice with the 50/50. i think you might be surprised at how "irritated" you really were/are.

yea i think maybe too your sucking juice up and not realizing it, i did for a while until i realized what that tingling in my mouth was and why my stomach was upset lol. i just made sure to clear the condensation from my drip tip more often. i think the cleaning my tip more often was (and is) key.

no sorry i was just saying op was on the right track because:
he got docs advice.
he got 50/50 juice (as recommended by me from personal experience, for pg sensitivities)

i put the comma there, but im sorry im not an english major lol. i know i run on but, hey you cant fix stupid.

and pipster i dont have a doctor to lie to! lol im a college kid with no insurance.

and btw i googled "pg rash" and at the top was at least 5 related ecf threads so OP your not the only one.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/health-safety-e-smoking/296406-vg-pg-red-face-rash.html
thats the one im reading now and heres the list of the others...
https://www.google.com/search?q=pg+rash+site:www.e-cigarette-forum.com&num=100&safe=off

from what ive read most peoples observations are the same as mine so its nice to know im not going crazy :)
