I failed miserably at E-cigs. For the past 3-4 months I have been smoking cigarettes.

I don't know what happened.

At first it was an occasional cigarette because my e-cig equipment began to fail on me. Soon I began pulling all nighters at school, and before you know, it I'm smoking cigarettes ALMOST everyday. I'm a 5-6 cigarettes a day smoker now.

I have still been using my e-cigs (everyday pretty much), and I think I'm even more addicted to nicotine because of the combo of cigs and nicotine juice.

Lately I have not been able to craft a perfect e-juice and my e-cig equipment flat out sucks.

I just ordered a small kit from Liberty Flights and about 7 bottles of juice.

I'm starting to think that once I stopped posting or visiting ECF my e-cig experience went down the drain D:

Any suggestions?

Visit and post on ECF again?
Honestly, you have to want to vape - there's no magic bullet, though the right juice and good equipment will help tremendously.
If DIY isn't working for you, find a premade juice you like and use that - even if it's a bit more expensive, it's cheaper than the stinkies, and much better for your health.
I hope that once the kit and juices from Liberty Flights arrives you'll have an easier time getting off the stinkies for good!

Ya,,, dont waste money on cheap kits, get yourself a decent regulated VV Mod ( VV Reo-Provari- the list goes on and on ) !!! and good AW Batts to use in it. These cost a bit more but when you add up the smaller purchases and especially what your spending on smokes it makes sense, and you not only wont have any hardware troubles but will be able to power your Atty/Cartos to where they need to be as well as get the same great vape after vape every time, and the best part of all is you WONT SMOKE :)

You have to want to quit. You also need to keep supplies on hand. I have back ups for my back ups for my back ups for everything when it comes to e-cig stuff. I can have one thing fail and it's not an issue. I've made it 20 months with out a cigarette so far (aside from the random drag to remind me how nasty they are).

My roommate quit smoking and only vaped for months. His e-cig started failing on him and he didn't have supplies available. Now he's a full on smoker again and rarely vapes anymore. I don't know if this is an issue for you, but my roommate's girlfriend (who lives with us) is also a smoker and would still smoke around him. Once he started drinking, which we do a lot around here, he would end up having a few cigarettes with her. I've done all I can to get him vaping again, but it's not happening.

My suggestion if you can't afford a Reo or provari, the silver bullet from altsmoke.com is very tried and true with a couple AW 18650's. I was in the same position and made the upgrade wether my wallet liked it or not :). Back-ups are always a must too down the road both battery wise and mod wise I've learned...never caught without two mods on me. Hope you can kick the coffin nails man!

All of that!!!

I know that vaping supplies aren't cheap, and that getting stocked up on a students budget (I'm assuming based on your post!), isn't the easiest thing to do, and you probably freak a little at the cost when you look at your cart vs buying a pack of smokes, look a little deeper - a pack of cigarettes where I am was $6 (on the cheap end, with multi pack discounts) or more - you may only be smoking 5-6 per day, but that's still going to add up over the course of a month - 6x30day per mo=180/20 per pack=8 packs per month x6$ = $56/per mo minimum to smoke. Add to that by the number of cigarettes you inhale on any given night you drink, and add in the health costs, lighters, trips to the gas station, etc., and you'll find that even if you need to spend a bit more money starting out, it's well worth it to keep yourself tobacco free. Remember, the nicotine in cigarettes isn't the big danger, it's the thousands of chemicals IN those cigarettes, plus the acrid smoke that do the major damage.

Spend a little more to get yourself in a position where vaping is a viable option every day. It might even add incentive to stay off the stinkies if you've invested a fair amount of money in your vaping kit. It's money well spent, and could save your life.

edited because I suck at head math, especially at 230am!

I'm going to toss my voice in here with the Silver Bullet chorus. It's a solid piece of equipment that you can even upgrade as it gets older. I just got one back in February, and its been going strong since then. I just decided that it was time to upgrade the batteries, since the stickers are starting to peel off...and AltSmoke had Kicks in stock...score!

I've also got my Alpha from AltSmoke in the equipment box, a VV box-mod, a Passthrough, and a couple eGo batteries for good measure... And I've probably got 50 cartos laying around in various states of clean...not to mention 300mls of nic-liquid to be cut for DIY.

However, it's still gotta be something you want. You're not going to be more hooked on vaping just because you have better equipment. If you want to reach the place where a lot of us are...you'll want to kill the 'nightly' cigarette, and just drop them all together.

Health issues aside, I can tell a smoker from a non-smoker by smell, whether they had one 5 minutes ago or 2 hours.

Get a new set up as soon as you can and visit ECF daily for some cheers and pats on the back. Start trying some new juices again until you find one that does it for you. It doesn't have to be all or nothing so if you smoke while you are exploring what suits you best for vaping the world won't stop turning. Good luck :)

Switch from cigs to dip. When your gums start to recede, your teeth hurt, you get really bad heartburn from not swallowing, your girlfriend/s complain about spit in the sink, the inside of your mouth feels like rawhide, you ruin your car upholstery by spilling spit cups, and you wake up a few times after swallowing what you forgot was in your mouth, an e-cig will seem like heaven and you won't go back to the stinky side. :D

As someone who has just come back to eCigs despite having good equipment before, I had to get better. My MIL died in July and I picked up smoking again after a year and a half quit. My eGo and favorite juices just weren't enough because the darned cigs tasted good-I had to buy a VV mod. I needed that extra kick. I got a Lavatube, Provari is likely a bit better, but it's also a LOT more expensive. A full Provari set up with at least one spare battery and a charger will easily exceed $200. My SuperNova kit was under $90 with 2 spare batteries and 4 extra carts. I did get it on sale plus 25% off. Supernova / MiniNova Kit

What kind of juice do you like? MadVapes has a nice selection, and I LOVE Grandpa's Mix! They're not too spendy either, 30ml @24mg is under $8. Shipping isn't bad either.

If you're into DIY, do a search for the Puck mod here. Very inexpensive to put together and uses NiMH rechargeable batteries that you can pick up at any store. Gives a great higher voltage (4.8V) vape too. Get a 510 battery connector from Mad Vapes and you can use the usual atties/cartos.
