Have now been vaping for 48 hours and just going to relate my experience thus far.

Items purchased:
Megalodon Full Kit

Trustfire Flame18650 2400 mAH Battery
Blank Boge 2.0 OHM Low Resistance 510 Cartomizers
Rider 510 Atomizer
Flat Tip Drip Tip
Purchased from Electronicstix- Ordered via USPS 09/19/11- delivered to Toronto, Canada 09/30/11
30 ml 24 mg (nic) Menthol NPort Tobacco

Setup
The only problem starting out was I didn’t realize how deep the set screw had to go. Once that issue was resolved I was up and running. The videos at Electronicstix.com were extremely helpful.
My comments below are only MY observations…others may have different opinions.
Megalodon- an amazing PV that has exceeded all my expectations.
Battery- have been vaping heavily on one battery for 2 days and still going strong.
Atomizer- nice throat hit and and vapor but not to my liking.
Cartomizer- Although 2 of the carts turned out to be duds I am very happy with the throat hit, vapor and delivery of nicotine and is my favorite form of delivery. The video at Electronicstix “How to fill a Cartomizer” was invaluable.

Because I have no sense of taste or smell I cannot comment on these points but I will say the throat hit, vapor and amount of nicotine delivered was beyond adequate and I may consider moving down to 18 mg. I was a pack a day smoker of strong reservation tobacco (rolled my own filters) and, up to this point, I have only smoked one analogue. The only reason was to see if I had missed it and to compare it to the vaping- success galore as the analogue was not to my liking and I discovered I far more enjoy vaping…who would’ve thunk???
I am now considering purchasing dual coils and maybe a tank…the research never stops LOL.
Last, but not least, I would like to thank all the members of ECF that freely gave advice and encouragement. Their knowledge and advice is appreciated, amazing and extremely accurate.
I would also like to acknowledge the help I received from Jugz at www.jugheads.co. His encouragement, advice and support through many, many emails is sincerely appreciated.
Next on my agenda I want to start mixing and possibly designing some PV related devices…not so much for the $$ but out of a yearning to improve these products that are so vital to this movement.
And now I can finally and truthfully sign off……
Happy Vaping, VPE:thumb:

Congrats! Good, solid mechanical PV, solid TF flamejacket batteries, and really, really strong liquid. I can't vape that high even when I thought I could handle it, but the TH on 36mg very nearly caused my head to explode. I'm down to 12mg now and quite happy with that, oddly enough, since 18mg wasn't quite enough for me when I first started at 24mg hit the spot for the longest time, and yet even though it was necessity that caused me to drop the nic levels down, I'm finding the TH is just fine now. Weird.

You may want to consider some AW IMR 18650s though. Lower mAh, but much more consistent operation with a more level power curve; you don't get the slow dropoff like you do with other batteries, these stay pretty level throughout the charge so you get an awesome, consistent vape throughout.

Oh, and mixing is tons of fun. Maybe too much fun. I've been at it for a couple of weeks now and haven't even scratched the surface of possibilities for recipes I can mix.

Thank you very much Mindfield...Next batts will be AW IMR 18650s...Unfortunately I said the nic was 36 mg when it was only 24...apologies.

That sounds a little better. I know there are a few here who do vape 36mg -- even one or two I've run across who vape 48mg(!). 24mg is as high as I can go myself -- or could go until my body told me it had enough of that and forced me to drop. But I really liked the bold TH of 24 personally, even though what I'm getting out of 12 right now is quite sufficient.

Just a word of warning: Once you get into mixing you'll probably become as obsessed about flavourings as you might have done (and might still do) about premixed juices. :D Thanfully, flavourings are a lot cheaper.
