Hello, it's me KD, your friendly narrator.
Well, well, my little pretties it's been exactly 48 hours since I switched to full-time vaping. I've only had 1 real smoke in the past 12 hours and that's when I woke up. I was sleepy and confused. Of course, I immediately went outside and fired that bad boy up. Freakin' yuck! I immediately realized what I had done. The taste was just nasty. It reminded me of cat .... Please don't ask how I know this 'cuz I ain't saying!
I went back inside and grabbed my vaper. Force of habit made me go back to the porch but I was prepared. I vaped until the fog in my head cleared. Ahhh...my nicotine levels were returning to pre-sleep mode. My girls were happy to sit with me on the lounge chair. Before when I smoked they would stay at least 10 feet away until I was done with at least 3 smokes.
I've noticed some changes within the past 48 hours. First, I felt much better after doing the yard work today. In the past I was sore and achy. I realize that old age has a lot to do with this, but I didn't realize how much smoking was taking a toll on these old bones. After I hung up the yard tools I noticed how much better I felt. Not a 100% better, but a definite marked improvement over last week.
My wife, the wild red head, also made a comment on my vaping. She said that I didn't have any coughing fits when I was sleeping. I guess when I was sleeping she said I would have between 2-3 of these fits. Today...no fits. Yay!
I can't believe it's been 48 hours. Many times before when I tried to quit smoking I was a complete ...... about the whole process. No amount of gum, lozenges, patches, or sex seemed to help my craving. I could wear a patch and smoke at the same time. It was much worse than Jekyl and Hyde. Kind of like Godzilla on steroids.
I've been fully assimilated into the vaping sub-culture. Man do I feel better and it's only going to get better!
Peace out!
