You could seriously make a fortune making customs like this for people. Obvioulsy not the same because then it's not a one off. I sure would like to be able to say, 'I'm the only one in the world with this mod!'

Unless my eyes are playing tricks on me and that is a 28+mm kayfun/russian, you should grab another fat daddy (or see if they sell them separate) and get the extra ring to make the 510 plate 22mm and give u nice flush-atty look.

Really a minor detail, but it will take a gorgeous mod and put the final cherry on top.

Yea I wish I had done the 22mm ring for this Mod. I'm thinking I can just counter sink it for a flush look since I don't need the air flow under the Kayfun.

Yes it is a huge finger print magnet! Might try clearcoating it. Looking into clear anodizing or clear powdercoat.

What cnc do you use?

Its a DIY CNC using the Grizzly G0704. Check out g0704.com
Not too much $$$ building one and was a good way to get into CNC machining.

would only change 2 things (for me anyway)

I'd use the ring that you can get with the 510. it will allow your atty to have a flush look to it

I would also have the atty sit more centered or closer to the back.

these would be my preferences. yours might be exactly how you made it

The cradle was machined out of acetal (Delrin). I wanted to make the Mod as small as possible and the shapeway cradle was too big to fit so I came up with this cradle. Works well with the switch and charger board being held mechanically instead of being epoxied.

Wish I used the 22mm connector too. It has to sit towards the front for the battery holder to clear. The case is only 3.4in tall 1.9in wide and 1.75in deep. I tried to keep it as compact as I could. Might try incorporating a battery holder next time so I can make it smaller.
