I'm starting into RBAs, and I'm waiting for a RSST and two clones from fasttech (Trident & Ithaka). I placed the order at fasttech three weeks ago, and I'm still waiting (and it looks like I'll be waiting for another week, at least).
I already ordered and received kanthal, no-res wire, wick, cotton, torch,... And no attys yet! So, last night I started to be a little desperate, and ordered the RSST from OKC Vapes. They delivered as fast as possible, so my atty will be here tomorrow! That's good service!
Anyway, I still don't have any rba and I want to start building, so I decided to build a test micro coil. It wasn't perfect, but I did it, so the next step was to try it, and the only way I could imagine was to destroy a 510 atomizer and rebuild it, and this is what I've got:

At the beginning, it was shorted, but after playing with it I made it work and vaped from it!

Again, it's far from perfect, but it is my first rebuild!

Looking like a good start. Nothing like building your first. Make sure you check out the micro coil build thread, couple guys using all resistant wire, no non-resistant wire on the Ithaca and Oddy atty's with good results. Just ordered the TerminatorC R/A V2 from SVC last night, should be here in a few days. I'm using a Vertical build on my Russian and 2 rockets with great success. Was looking at the Ithaca clone on FT, great price, but didn't want to wait the 3 weeks, and saw some great reviews on the Terminator build and quality. Some saying it was as good or better than the Authentic rba.

On a side note, did your cotton pull through fairly easily with just a little bit of resistance? Reason I ask, from the pic it looks a bit tight but pretty close. Know getting the cotton density just right is what makes the difference between the decent build and the Awesome one.

Also I have started using a drill to wrap my coils with, sticking the mold and wire into the chuck and letting the drill wrap the coil, keeping tight tension on the wire. Working great for me, nice close tight wraps, then I squeeze the coil together with some tweezers and torch it to help set the coils. Takes away the spring action.

I've only been doing micro style for a couple weeks, but each build just keeps getting better. Love this forum!

Keep up the good work.
