Are you using flat wire? If so you may want to try using just like a basic 26g Kanthal.

Flat wire is mostly used with kanthal to be twisted in together to make a coil.

You can make a coil with the flat kanthal but it's more for experienced coil builders.

Round wire. Maybe next week I will try the Tin Man.

It was a great feeling to make it work yes. Almost as a chicken who learns to fly, I guess.
