Ohms are at 1.5, I am using a 3.7 volt battery that came with the mod, it vapes pretty good, no giant clouds yet but I'm working on it. I wrapped it around a nail and I'm using 100% cotton yarn for my wick.
The clouds will come, but I would consider looking into quality quality batteries if clouds are what you're looking for. The "one that came with the mod" could probably use an upgrade if you're looking to go sub-ohm
I would suggest getting a battery where you know the specs. I never trust no name batteries with vaping, seen far too many horror pics. Also keep in mind when using mechanical's and rba/rda's. You will want to use 4.2v fresh battery instead of 3.7v that is on the label, when figuring out amp load and wattage numbers.
Well I've read that cotton is the way to go for cloud chasing and also wick placement in the atomizer can be big too there are some great videos on YouTube
Also make sure you place the air hole over the coil when placing the top cap.
cotton is amazing in terms of flavor and vapor, however it's very easy to use too much and choke the coils. which will sort of tone down performance, and not enough is just as bad. Once you find the right amount its pure heaven.
The balls I get from cvs are rolled little cotton sheets. I unroll em and pull strands off length wise and roll them in between my fingers. You can boil em or not, tastes similar either way IMO.
the point of boiling is not to remove taste, its to remove impurities. they use peroxide to bleach and sterilize the cotton. i dont boil mine either but my wife prefer's her cotton yarn boiled.

Thanks for clearing that up. I read there was some stuff that floats to the surface that has an effect on taste. Figured that was the main reason for the boiling.
If I may suggest you try it with less cotton that way you are vaping fresh juice. Clouds are dependent upon many things coil and placement to air hole etc. Air flow volume and coil temp=vapor production. Lots of threads on this.
