Just signed up for the forum, I've been vaping for a little while and getting into rda's - love the flavor they give since I vape mostly VG. Recently watched a video where a guy has Clapton coils, so I had to try one out and just wow, it's throwing more vape than I've got with any of my builds so far. Can't wait to get a box mod and throw some real power into these things. As you can see in the pics, my wraps aren't as tight as they should be around the core wire, but it still works great.

Build: .33 Ohms, horizontally/diagonally opposedIMG_20150111_010128.jpg
Material: 32AWG kanthal wrapped around 22AWG kanthal
Firing with the Sentinel M16 clone (aluminum version), with the Efest 2500mah batteries rated for 35A current, although I've read that this number is pulse, not continuous. Continuous current on these batteries is 20A, but this build uses a little less than 15A on a fully charged battery anyway.

Just rebuilt this again, but with a 24AWG kanthal core wire. The smaller wire allows for dual coils because of the higher resistance, but I only used one because the previous build was just too much metal, and didn't get hot quick enough for the amount of power it was drawing. This build is much better, and actually tastes much better as well.

came out to .39 Ohms, a bit less power draw but much better surface contact with the cotton (more wraps of the 32AWG because the core is thinner).
