Pretty happy with myself at the moment.
I just completed my first coil and wick build on the Kanger Subtank mini rta deck.
I must say, it was not easy for this newbie. my eyesight sucks, I used a magnifier-on-a-stand thing which I just bought off amazon, and it kinda sucked,
Parts are so much smaller than when I watch youtube videos.

Anyway, I used the screwdriver that came with the subtank kit and did 5 wraps (.6 ohm).
Wicked it using the "RIP Trippers" pancake method.

I really thought I botched it big-time but this thing is vaping great. No dry hits at all...

I need a ton more practice but I'm pretty happy with my first stressful build.

Thanks for reading...

A big

to you. It is a wonderful feeling.
:)

Don't feel bad. For the first year I was rebuilding coils, I used a magnifying glass in a ceramic dog food bowl. I did finally upgrade just a tad. These were inexpensive but not bad quality and it really helps with my eyes also.

Good job!!!

Yeah remember watching vids on rebuilding the Protanks. Seems I had never really noticed how small everything is till I took one of the damn things apart. Don't know why.. But, you know when I got my Kayfun. My first thought was still, Dang these thing are small. Oh, the builds I think turn out the worst, Often vape the best.

That's great bill! Yes that is the funny thing I noticed after watching videos and looking at coil builds on line they all look so nice and big. Not so much once you start tearing into it yourself. I like to build during the day close to the windows so I get lots of light. I have good eyesight but If its too dark I can feel the eye strain setting in.
