For me, 1.9Ω is about double the resistance I'd prefer. It may be okay with a fresh battery, but it'll get anemic as the battery drains. What wire did you use? I'd suggest wrapping another coil with a bigger gauge resistance wire and/or enlarging the air hole on the RM2.

Thanks for the tip...really new to this. I use 30g Kanthal. really don't want to enlarge the air hole as the draw is kinda too airy for my preferences.. Vapes well, but just want more vapor production.

What are you using for wick? How many wraps? Are you wrapping coils on a screw/nail or are you wrapping directly on the wick?

I'm using cotton ball wicks, 29ga kanthal, wrapping on either a 2mm or 1.5mm micro screwdriver. I usually shoot for around 1-1.3 ohm.

You might take a look at Super x's microcoil thread and there's a thread with coil descriptions around here too.

Rebuilt my coil using a Football inflating Pin, 5 wraps around a 3mm silica wick......0.8 ohm....better vapor, more flavor....Yehey! Simply wonderful and enjoying my building better....but need better light and magnification. :vapor:

Thanks everyone for your support, motivation and help!

I found these high powered reading glasses for pretty cheap, ran about 18-19 dollars with shipping. At 6X power it really has helped me see each and every coil on these gizmos. Ya get your nose right into your work.

Delivery was pretty quick too.

Before I got these I got the magnifying glass with stand and LED lights. Frankly I find these 6X glasses a heck of a lot more useful, at least for me.

I'm far-sighted as hell, when I fly I have to use Prescription half-heights to read the instruments.

ciaou.
