A few weeks back I was in Montreal visiting a friend and he bought me a gift, a V3 Ego Spinner starter kit. I'd been curious about vaping but had never tried it before. I fire it up and took a hit and wow...it felt just like smoking. I've been smoking 30 years and have tried everything from patches to gum to even some nasty pharmaceuticals and nothing really worked...or should I say...my willpower sucked. Anyway, I flew home on a Sunday night and on the way to the house from the airport I bought a 20 pack of ciggies. It took me 9 days to finish that pack of smokes. So I've replaced my addiction with a less harmful one that I can do inside without stanking up the house. A real bonus here in Winnipeg with our nasty winters. Finding juices has been a bit of an issue but I met a decent guy who is trying to make a go of setting up a business so I buy from him. His tobacco flavors were a bit too sweet for me but it's all trial and error. I have some new juices ordered online and I'm looking into all the ins and outs of vaping.
Needless to say, I'm really pleased. I even posted a Facebook update on the vaping and had some friend PM me for more info. There are two guys in my office interested in it. Same stories all around. Tried everything, could never quit. Health Canada doesn't make it any easier by telling people that it's no cure and they should still try traditional means to quit smoking. You know, the tradition means that include failure and secure tobacco related tax dollars for the government. Anyway, won't get started on that.
So, another success story when it comes to drastically reducing cigarettes. I went from 20 a day to 2 a day overnight. Now I'm at one every couple of days.
