I am attempting to try to create my first custard recipe! I have made many clone custards before but I want to try to create a caramel custard. The recipe I just made is 15% Cap Custard 5% TFA Caramel Original and Im now going to put in in the UC. Any tips on this recipe or advice on how I can adjust it to my taste. Do I just add more caramel if the caramel is not there or should I add some other flavors to the mix? I have a lot of flavors so any suggestions Im sure I have that flavor.

I got unpatient and started to mess with the recipe to soon I know but o well. Ill probably remake this mix again and leave it alone. I ended up adding some tfa dulce de leche and more caramel..lol..dulce always has the chemical taste without letting it steep. So back to square one.

To get more of a caramel taste do you think I should add more caramel percentage then custard?

Custard and Caramel take at least a week to come out, so does DDL, I wouldn't add more until steeped.

Ive tried a variant of Grant's recipe with French vanilla added..it was good but not really good, I think ill try it without the French vanilla this time and yea I know custards take awhile I was just being stubborn..

I made up a batch using Grant's recipe but used all CAP french vanilla instead of vanilla custard. Tasted a lot like Suicide Bunny's OB to me.
