Yesterday was my first day with my new EHPRO Kayfun Lite+ v2. It is my first ever Kayfun, but after reading so much about them on this forum, I had to try one. Until today I had used the Protank 2. I thought I would share my first day impressions in case anyone else is thinking of making the Kayfun leap. I am no expert.. just a normal user on the path that most of us seem to take.

I tested mine on my MVP2. The tank looks pretty good on the MVP with the beauty ring. I used the plastic center window on mine. It also came with the stainless steel center piece (haven't used it yet). The EHPRO clone that I bought also had a full plastic tank, which I wasn't expecting.. haven't used it yet either.

It is a little heavier than the PT2, but you don't notice it that much. Of course, it also holds 4.5ml of juice, so it is bigger.

I filled the tank with Suicide Bunny's Mother's Milk, and I could taste flavors I didn't even know were there before. Wow. Seriously it is an order of magnitude better than the PT2 in flavor.

I thought the vapor production was better on the Kayfun too.

I had to up my wattage from my normal (about 7w) to 8w when using the Kayfun. No burnt taste at all. The very first draw was full of flavor and vapor (unlike the gurgle I get on the first couple of draws on a PT2).

I thought the draw was pretty comparable to the draw on a PT2. I like an airy draw, and I got that after opening the airflow screw a bit.

The "whistle" : if you've seen the pbusardo video and are worried about the whistle, it is true.. it does whistle, and occasionally quite loudly. Some posts have suggested removing the airflow screw entirely to fix the whistle, but I haven't tried that.

The Kayfun seems to go through juice faster than my PT2. That is expected though, as the flavor is much stronger.

Making the coil: Mine came with no coil at all, so I had to make one. Dead simple easy. If you have rebuilt a Kanger head, the Kayfun is much much easier than that. My very first attempt was successful at 1.7 ohms (as measured by my MVP2). I made a wick using organic cotton balls, which worked great.

Filling the tank from the bottom: also very easy. I had a dripper in my bottle, and it filled the tank easily.

Leaking: zero, so far.

This thing is just awesome. I've already ordered another Kayfun for the wife (in less than 24 hours).

Get one if you thinking about it. Mine clone was just $40 at 101vape

I got the (original Svoemesto) Kayfun Lite Plus - Second Batch yesterday, too, but I'm still not crazy about it. Making the coil was easy, but adjusting the air flow was hard for me. I'm used to the Nautilus, and the draw on the Kayfun was too airy for me. I realize now that I should have bought the Russian 91% because the center post cannot be adjusted as advertised without moving the coil as described by P Busardo in his review, but the Russian is designed differently. I also don't like the plastic tank. The threads make it difficult to screw onto the stainless part, so I used the stainless tank, but now I can't see the level of the juice and it feels quite heavy. Also, the tank isn't flush on my ProVari, even with the ProVari ring. There is a very small gap between the tank and the ProVari ring. I'll still use it as I like making the coil and using the cotton ball. The vapor and taste were good, but not outstanding, IMO. Oh, and no whistle sound on mine.

Update: I put one of the tiny o-rings that came with the Kayfun in-between the insulator and screw and it extended the pin and now the Kayfun is flush on the ProVari using the ProVari ring.:)

I got trouble in the start with my Kayfun Lite/Russian clone , because channels was too shallow. Dry hit after dry hit no matter how I wick it. After Dremel it a little (channels), works like a champ.
Using it on my MVP 2 , so far so good. Now I order Stingray clone,so I hope it will get even better.

Must say,I still love my miniProtank2, works perfect so far.

I know this is a very popular tank. So how many different versions are there?

1. Kayfun 3.1
2. Kayfun Lite + v2
3. Kayfun Nano

And then there is a quartz kit? 2 or 3 different kits? One for each of the above? I'm a little behind on this one. The landscape keeps changing.

I bought the quartz kit and it doesnt work on the Ehpro KFL+ v2. I cant get the top cap to screw on. Hoping it works on the 3.1 I have coming soon.

i have the EHpro 3.1 and i love it, coiling is super easy and the wicks always stay wet.. subohm it gurgles but a primer puff or two will set it straight.. what kind of coils are you guys using?

On my Russian 91%, I have a 28 gauge micro coil, 8 wrap on a small screwdriver, came up to 1.26, wicked with ramie, never wistles by the way

On my black KFL+ from Tobeco, tripple twisted 32 gauge 9 wrap on a 5/64" drill bit, came up to 1.2, wicked with cotton. I have the air flow screw taken off (on the bottom on this one) and it does wistle. I've thought about tapering the air hole, which I've read that it helps with the wistle, but I don't want to ruin the PVD coating on it, so I live with the wistle.

On my cheap KFL clone with nano kit, 30 gauge micro coil, I think it was like a 7-8 wrap, 1.6 ohm, wicked with cotton. This one has a side AFC screw, it wistled untill I removed the screw.

Love all of them, The nano is on top of my black nemesis with a hybrid adaptor, and my black is on top of my JC Tech BlackCopper Stingray, both with me at work.
