My first diy batch good in 1 device but bland in the other.

I made a batch of Peach Cheesecake with a splash of Menthol. I let it steep for several day. I tried it in my Aspire Pockex and it tasted great. However in my Melo 3 it just tastes bland. I can still taste it bit it tastes very watered down.

How do I adjust my recipe to fix an issue like this?

Here is the recipe
FA New York Cheesecake 3%,
FA Peach 3%
FA Menthol 1%
FA Black Touch 0.25%
Nic Mix 30P/70G 3mg 92.75%

You’ll find different attys will influence your mixes differently. My mix for an rta is different from what I do for an rda and even is different among my range of RDAs. They’ll all bring out or even mute different flavor notes.

So I end up mixing for a middle ground. As you get more experience you’ll know how to tweak it. Just take lots of notes as your taste testing. I always use the same rda to taste test so it’s consistent.

I wonder if that has to do with the amount of cotton/rayon in the atty. It stands to reason that an Pockex would have less material in which to saturate than a Melo coil. Keep vaping on the Melo or let it stand for a half hour or so and see if flavor begins to seep through. I find with mine that seems to work but some take a little longer to fully saturate the wicking with flavor. I use lots of different tanks/atties. The ego one CLR coils give me great flavor right away as well as the rba for the subtank. My RTA's take longer for the flavor to fully come out.....

YMMV.

just my 2 pennies

Juices tasting different in different atomizers isn't unusual and I'd think it would or could be from a variety of causes. There are certain tanks and coils that consistently deliver less flavor, the Melo III was one such device. I do think the tank takes non proprietary coils, a bunch of them, so you could try some different manufacturer's coils to see if that makes a difference, or maybe save the more well steeped juice for that atomizer or mix up something a bit stronger.

Or not use it an move on to another atomizer the possibilities are endless. :)

I have noticed that my juices always taste better in the Aspire. Maybe I should try a different tank on my mod. Any recommendations based on flavor. All the reviews I find look at easy of filling and leaking. Maybe that is why these tanks were so cheap.

I did mix up some huckleberry cheesecake that actually tastes pretty good in the Melo 3 but it tastes a lot better in the Aspire Pockex. The thing I don't like about the Pockex is the lack of adjust-ability, short battery life, and the tiny tank capacity. 2ml is the advertised but it is more like 1.5ml.
