Hi vapers,

I have finally received my order from cloudehousevapor.
- Sweet strawberry ( cap)
- Toasted almond tfa
- Belgian waffle tfa
- graham cheesecake crust tfa
- pear cloudhouse
All in 10ml 50/50 6mg nic and 10% flavour.
With the flavours i ordered 4 10ml bottles which i filled with the flavours

Ive got some questions about the DIY and since u might think, check google.
I did and i managed to get some info but some things are still white for me

So to start of with all of the flavours above have been steeped for 3 days now, i shake them daily.
My question is; is there an efficient way of mixing flavours? What ive done today is by mixing them by both using them. So for example i had the Sweet strawberry that i used on the cotton and after i put some waffle with it. Now this gave me a rlly standard flavour.
Should i of change the way i make my single flavours? so as in i start with Sweet strawberry and make 4 different strawberries ranging 5-10-15-20%?

Also does any1 have a good recipe with the flavours that i got above?

Last question is; i see that the aromas ive bought where all in the sites brand bottle not in its original, does this change anything?

tx in advantage

Are you using tank or rda to vape?

Than I guess you can go lower on flavors. My Diy suck too. Try 5% cheesecake and 5-10% strawberry and see how it goes. Cheesecake need some time to steep
tx for the replies, i might try that mix, but my point is that i need to get familiar with the taste of them, only in that way im able to make 'nice' recipe i think :p

I understand you were just trying to get started, but part of the issue you will soon run into with what you have is that you simply don't have much to work with.

My best advice for DIY beginners is to find some recipes online you think you'd like, an order based on those.

Most new DIYers don't know enough to know to purchase things besides their main flavorings. You want flavor "enhancers," too, like sweeteners or sour and vanillas and sometimes creams. If you had asked what a good, basic, starter set of flavorings are, the list most old-timers would give you would be pretty different from what you purchased.

Someone will be along with a huge set of links for DIY starters soon enough; I don't have it handy. Until then, do some looking on recipes. Most of mine have at least three flavorings, sometimes as much as 10-12+... but the beauty of DIY is that you never have to go that complicated. If you would like, I'd be happy to send you a few of my recipes.

I'm not positive that either of these are exactly what I was thinking of but both should be helpful. HERE is a post by @Sir2fyablyNutz that starts with basically what I said above but is far more detailed. Likewise, HERE is a blog post with tons of resources, which appears to have ultimately also come from Sir2fyablyNutz. The post especially should be required reading for anyone new to DIY.

Steeping is partly overrated. Sometimes it's necessary, of course, but many flavors are (almost) shake n vape.
The most complex liquid I make is vape-able the next day. Mostly fruit.
Capella fruits rarely work under 10% and Strawberry is notoriously weak.
Exact mixes are tricky to get right, as people all have different opinions/tastes. In general, I would say putting two flavors together increases your chances of having something pleasant to vape even if it's not going to win any competitions.
Sometimes I mix 10ml of the 'main' flavor in a 30ml bottle and start adding various secondary flavors.
Most fruits that go wrong will improve with another fruit. Something already high in % flavor but not working gets the Menthol treatment!!

Thx for all the replies!
I've found some old bottles and made the next liquids:
8% SS 8%pear 5% graham crust
12%pear 5% graham cheesecake crust
12%SS 5% graham crust

I usually don't mix too many flavors, and have found the %15 to be the best flavor percentages for my fruity flavors. I then take that %15 and add usually two flavors. After I taste it, I improve with either sweet or sour, and take notes for the next batch.

Most of the fruit flavors don't need to be steeped, but not all. I like a guava which seems to do better with a week of steeping, but can be vaped straight from the mix. I've heard tobacco flavors do better when steeped, and Caramel changes slightly as well in my experiences (it turns sweeter)

As far as the rebranded bottles, I assume they buy flavors by the gallon, parcel out, then sell for a profit at either equal or below what you could get them from directly from the manufacturer.. I bet the flavor manufacturers don't mind this, since it takes a lot of liability away from them, but they still get the sales.

I wouldn't worry about this. Many blenders like CH buy bulk (liters) of flavor from brand names like CA (Capella) then transfer them to their "custom/branded" containers. Chances are, if the branded container says CH Sweet Strawberry and you purchased CA Sweet Strawberry, it was blended by CA. I bet these folks would not be in business long if they did not supply the original claimed blender and tried to pass the flavor off as a copy of CA (in place of).
