My First e-cig arrived yesterday!

On my way to class last night my Envy Bliss e-cig (I believe it's a micro mini) was in the mailbox. As soon as I got out of class I opened the package and put in the first cartridge. A little leaked out and got on my lips which was pretty nasty and numbing, but I pushed the little cottony stuff back down and it was fine. Vaped the whole way home. It works great... good amount of vapor production. My only problem with it is the taste of the cartridges. I've only smoked menthol for 18 years so of course I wanted to try the menthol cartridges. Not too happy about the flavor. I love the feeling, but the taste is no good. I definitely want to start getting the liquid instead because it seems to be the smartest choice as far as saving money. Any suggestions on a cheap, but not disgusting liquid? Has anyone tried any mint flavored one that tastes good that I could use to replace the 'menthol'?

I'm not giving up. I have had 1 anaolog since yesterday afternoon and that was this morning with my coffee. I think if I have a flavor I like I would be able to put down the analogs for good.

I would have to recommend mixing one of the tobacco flavors(555,hilton,flue cured) with mint until you get the right combination. Although I'm not a menthol guy.

I've been a menthol smoker for the past 5-6 years (not counting when I'd bum a menthol off of a co-worker) and found that the menthol and the chocolate chip mint from TW is nice. It's still not the same as smoking a regular menthol but I feel that it's pretty close. Like Happily said, your best bet would be to experiment with some tobacco flavor and mint/menthol flavored liquids.

I have three suggestions.

First, the best menthol liquid I've tried is PureSmoker's Cash True Menthol. The first time I tried it, it made me want to throw out all my other menthols.

Second, I have had nice success making my own menthol by adding menthol crystals to various flavors. Other folks prefer menthol drops because it's easier to measure drops and they mix nicely.

Third, since you're in Long Island, if you haven't done so already, you need to hook up with the Long Island Vapers Club: Long Island, New York - Vapers Club It's a very active group with some pretty interesting members.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I think I might try the johnson creek smoke juice. I figure I could get 2 15ml to try.. one mint and one tobacco.

My mom tried my Envy and likes it, but again the taste is pretty gross. It is really keeping me from using it as much as I had hoped to. She does want to get her own in a couple of weeks though. We looked at the Blu one. Good starter kit for a decent price. Came with more stuff than mine did too. Anyone know if it's a good one or not?

I looked at it and heard some reviews of were pretty good. The only thing I would check is the delivery date. I think I heard/read somewhere that they are backlogged and are not accepting any additional orders until the backlog clears or something like that. As I'm going on memory, I can't promise that the information is accurate.
