I originally ordered an ego-T, but I ordered it from overseas, so it is going to take a long time to get here. I ended up ordering a second one, an xpower 900c from litecigusa.net, and that one just came in the mail.

My first impression....This thing is like 10x stronger than a normal cigarette! It almost makes me choke a little when I inhale. Maybe it's just the liquid I got, dunno. I was also very surprised at how small and light weight it is. In all of the videos and pictures of e cigs that I have seen, there were some gigantic ones that looked like they weighed a lot. This one can easily be put into my pocket.

I think my only complaint is that I don't like the tobacco flavored liquid. I don't know anything about tobacco, so I ordered one called BH gold and silver. It tastes a bit nasty to me. Maybe that's a good thing. I also ordered blueberry, and I have grape being shipped with the other package. Once I can actually taste and smell again, maybe I will be even more turned off by this tobacco flavor and I will be more interested in the fruit flavors.

You may have bought Chinese PG juices by Dekang? Not really the pinnacle of ejuice but some are nice. however 100% PG lets through the full TH and irritation of the nicotine, as well as the full flavor. In the US we have lots of juice vendors that make PG/VG blends. VG smooths out the vape and adds thicker visible vapor. You can add some pure vegetable glycerin to your juices if they are PG juices and too strong (though that will also dilute the flavor). If you find a Dekang flavor you like but want more VG, if you can find the same flavor in VG and the same nicotine level, mixing 10mg of VG eliquid w/ 30ml of PG eliquid will give you 75pg/25vg liquid of the same flavor and strength.

I think Dekang DK-Tab is a gentler tobacco flavor. And their RY4 is very sweet and light - a bit caramelly. Their USA-Mix is a Marlboro alike (supposedly - not much like them). Speaking of mixing - Dekang tobacco or USA-Mix (Marlboro-alike) mixed with some peach eliquid makes a nice peach tobacco. I also also like mixing a bit of chocolate and orange eliquid w/ DK-Tab to give the flavor more interest.

Get your nic level correct so the TH is pleasant but not too harsh. And remember to smell the vapor. Don't go by the taste. The tongue can only taste sweet, salty, sour, bitter and umami (MSG/savory)/

I used to smoke marlboro menthols, so I started vaping with menthol flavors. It worked for a little while... until my taste buds came back. And then it was pretty awful. And the tobacco flavors are all awful. Now my everyday vape is from Vapor4Life, their Razzwow - which is probably the last thing I would have expected to like. I didn't really like the fruity flavors when I started vaping, before I quit smoking for good. But now that I'm three months without cigarettes, every flavor I like is fruity.

Be sure that you don't try to look for the closest flavor to what you would smoke, find what's better. And don't be surprised if, after a few months, you find you don't like that favorite flavor anymore. Keep trying flavors, make sure you keep your batteries charged, and keep coming back to the forum. Good luck to you.

dormouse, yeah, it was dekang juice. I'll try some others. The other e-juice that is coming from China is from greenhouse one, and that's supposed to be 2/3 pg and 1/3 vg. Maybe I will like that one better?

So I already ran out of my first cartridge, which was the tobacco one. I just put in the blueberry...and oh my god...I love it!

Well today is going to be the ultimate test. I got the e-cig around 1pm, I set it up and then decided to drive to a friends house about 2 hours away. I was surprised that I was just fine while driving and vaping. It is 5:30pm right now and currently I am at my friend's house having some beer...Now this is a little difficult. I'm ok so far, but I'm actually craving an analogue. I intentionally chose not to bring any cigarettes here, so I have to just deal with it and smoke the e-cig tonight.

Oh! I was just thinking about something...Can someone give me a link to another thread or give me some advice here? My mother also wants to try out e-cigs. Now I am perfectly fine dealing with all of these different parts, with the maintenance, replacing, different liquids, etc. However, my mother is a bit older, she is always working, and doesn't have the time to deal with all of this stuff.

She has been smoking probably for 30-40 years now. I was thinking that I would try and find one that is not very complicated and is probably more aesthetically pleasing than my xpower. I've seen a lot of differen't mini e-cigs that look like analogues. Are any of them simple enough that they don't require a lot of maintenance?

I told her to go to the litecigusa.net website and look at the starter kits there to see if she likes anything there. I was also wondering if there might be a better website that would be much more suitable for an older and much busier person that doesn't have the time for a "hobby" type of e-cig.

Try a Bloog MaxxFusion or a Volt.
They are the same thing only the Volt is cheaper.

They are state of the art KR808D-1 models.
I even hear their auto batteries don't suck.
