What exactly is the RY4 flavor? I keep seeing it mentioned but I never can figure out what exactly it is hehe.
Is it tobacco flavor?
Caramel apple actually sounds pretty good ;)
I was smart and only bought 1 pack of smokes the other day, knowing my kit was arriving on wed. Unfortunately, a couple of weeks ago I ordered two cartons of marb lights from overseas, so not sure what I am gonna do with those when the arrive lol

It's hard to describe what RY4 tastes like. Supposedly, it has some tobacco flavor (I can't taste any tobacco flavor in it), some caramel, some vanilla, and probably other flavors. It's an intense, dark, a little sweet (but not fruity or annoyingly sweet, more like caramel type of sweet) and exotic type of flavor.

Originally, I lightenened it up by adding Apple (from FSUSA), then I started adding Caramel and Nut Mix (both from FSUSA). The Nut Mix is good by itself and tastes like oil from nuts (to me). But I just mix up 1/4 of each of these flavors...actually, about 1/5 each, including Glycerin that I bought from Walmart. I'm currently experimenting with and without adding Glycerin. The last 4 bottles I ordered were all 100% PG (haven't received yet). The first five bottles are 50/50 PG/VG, so I decided to mix them (when I get the 4 bottles I just ordered), so there would be less VG, because I thought the VG was causing gum pain a couple of days ago.

RY4 is NOT the same from all suppliers, though. I've been completely satisfied with all the juices I've ordered from FreedomSmokeUSA, so I'll just stick with them. And the FSUSA owner (David) vapes RY4 all day, I guess, so that's good enough for me. :)

Hi, and welcome to the wonderful world of vaping. I had a lot of trouble getting vapor out of my Tornado for almost the entire first day. A was concerned at first because there was such a small amount of vapor that this would never cure me of smoking. Well..I was flooding the atomizer. A lot of people do this when they are newbies. I still flood the occasional atty now and then. When there is too much liquid around the coil, you will feel the liquid trying to vaporize, you will feel the heat, you will taste the flavors and you will get a very small amount of vapor. You can twist up some tissue and gently slide it into the atomizer (do NOT push it in hard and do N O T spin the tissue paper either!! Gently insert it and remove it. Repeat this until it stops coming out drenched in liquid.

I am of the opinion that a lot of people probably mistake a flooded atty for a dead/dying atty. If you have a meter you can always check the continuity and ohms across your atty just to be sure.

Apparently what Deback said... Here is the description from Backwoods:

"This is not your standard RY4. While it has some sweetness to it, it has an addictive and an ultra clean tobacco taste that bites. We use a very special and somewhat uncommon vanilla that makes this juice right every time. If you want an RY4 with true tobacco goodness that produces tons of vapor, then look no further."

EDIT: Who knows if it tastes great, but that is one heck of a sales pitch!!!!

Likely true. i have almost thrown out a couple of cartomizers as they wouldn't fire. Then blew threw them a few times a viola...they worked again.

The craziest thing is that I do not mind the Dekang in my 4081. In my EGO it is horrific. Very strange... I do like the 4081 taste though, mentioned... but still...

Speaking of getting different tastes from different PVs (which is true for me, too), but since using the KR808D-1 passthroughs I received yesterday morning, the taste is much better (and so are the throat hits and vapor). I've been using brand new KR808D-1 cartos and haven't gone back to the Boge 510 cartos yet. I don't know if the difference is with the PTs, the cartos, or because the cartos are brand new.

That happens when they are overfilled. The filler gets too soggy and can't breathe. The filler becomes clogged. Of course, that's the main reason I switched to the much quicker drip method. The juice soaks in slowly, which helps to retain the air pockets, which helps to keep it all airy, so it will vape like it should.

Do not think i do not notice the slight references to your drip method in your posts... ha ha.

Or you can just blow out the excess juice from the atomizer (and cartomizer) -- and then clean the juice out of your mouth.

Yeah, i've been trying to check the atomizer whenever possible to make sure I am not flooding it. I've been removing the cart, and doing the dryburn a few times until nothing burns off the atomizer and i get a nice quick glow. Then I pop my cart back in. Dont really seem to notice a difference, so I guess I am not flooding it all the time.
Maybe I am getting plenty of vapor from a full pg juice. My HC apple is 70/30, and that does seem to toss out a little more vapor.
The new juices I just ordered I made 50/50, so we'll see if those make any diff for me.

My favorite way to mix and order juice is to order 100% PG and then mix whatever % of VG that I like the best (by adding Glycerin from Walmart...can be found in a 6 ounce bottle above the rubbing alcohol products for $3.00). I've found that about 20% Glycerin added to my mixture is about right. Too much Glycerin will make it too sweet and too fizzy-tasting and reduces the other flavors. Not enough Glycerin will make the mixture not quite thick enough, less vapor, and kind of dark-tasting or maybe too much flavor. It's a little hard to explain.

I am fairly new ( started 9-26-10) to vaping but I found that you really need to prime the atty when you first start using them and then again if you clean them. I get good vapor, but then again I am using the DSE 801. Check around the forum and I am sure you will find a answer to your questions. As for the nictine in the air after the vapor dissapates I'm not sure, but if you find out the answer I hope you will post the results, as I have grandkids that come to my house and I don't want to expose them to anything harmful either. Good Luc on your experience of vaping, I know I find that I truly love the vaping as opposed to smoking an analog cigarette.

I just got my new flavors in from vaporbomb today. Firstly, it was very nice for them to throw in an extra 5ml flavor, that was a nice suprise (mango), so kudos to vaporbomb :)

Unfortunately, I am still not getting much flavor from anything. The blueberry dekang is actually still one of the only flavors I can even really taste. The free sample of mango from VB is also noticeable. However, the apple HC 70/30, the rootbeer VB 50/50, the bottletop VB 50/50 and the orange cream VB 50/50 I can hardly taste any of these. Quite disappointing :(
Is there a flavor/vendor out there with something non coffee that has overwhelming taste for anyone? I'd really like to get something very strong so I know this damn thing is working properly :)
Otherwise, the xpower is pretty sweet. battery lasts forever (have gone 24+ hrs straight with it twice already, and only throw it on charge just because I think it could use it, not because it has run out on me).
No button issues, no charging issues, happy with the unit. Just hope my lack of flavor tasting is just me or the juice, not the unit.

Hmm... I haven't tried enough to help there....

The 2 highest regarded seem to be Backwoods Brew and FreedomSmokeUSA for liquid. I was going to order from Backwoods the last 3 or 4 days and the site is not working and keeps saying will be fixed to let you order - but still can't. Crazy.

http://www.backwoodsbrew.net/index.php

http://www.freedomsmokeusa.com/

Other than that - no help...

Gourmet Vapor is more expensive, but you can add more flavor as you essentially "create your own". Recent thread on them on here...

I am going to try Backwoods personally....

Another thing is this. PG= more TH and many say more flavor. VG = more vapor, and some think less flavor. i think is likely because the flavor gets a bit lost in extra vapor. This is likely why I like the taste of my 4081 a bit more than the EGO - less vapor production, less airy.

My guess is your XPower generates a LOT of vapor....perhaps part of the less taste thing - maybe.

One thing you may want to try - I haven't yet - is to get a drip tip and drip to get stronger hits... just a thought.

Well, I've tried dripping right onto the atomizer and puffing on the blank cart that shipped with it, I think that's the same idea no?
Doesn't make much of a diff, so I guess i'll just keep having to buy more flavors until I find the type that knocks my socks off :)
If I can just get one that tastes as strong and delicious as my wife's homemade apple pie she made for me today, I'd be all set! lol

You should notice more flavor in the juices you received after they steep for a week or two. The liquids in each bottle take a while to fully soak, mix, and become absorbed and saturated with each other. There's a world of difference today in the flavors of the juices I received from FSUSA two weeks ago.

But I have no experience with VB's juices. FSUSA has the juices I like the best, so there's no reason to keep trying others (after trying three other suppliers and didn't like any of them).
