I just bought a DSE 901 and so far I like it but having not compared it to any of the other ecig's out there I find myself wondering if I made the right choice ?

As for the juice that I received with my first order , which was regular tabaco , it's ok but not like the tabaco cigs that I was smoking . Can anyone point me to a juice flavor that resembles du Maurier , which is a Canadian cig .

Or perhaps one of the more experienced members can perhaps list some of the different tabaco flavors and offer up there thoughts on how that flavor compairs to " real " tabaco smoke

Thanks for your time and hello from the new guy :)

If you like it then it is a good choice.

But there are so many other options out there, and it really depends on what you want.
So is there anything about what you have that you would like to improve?

As for the juice that I received with my first order , which was regular tabaco , it's ok but not like the tabaco cigs that I was smoking .
It is very hard, if not impossible, to duplicate the flavor of burning tobacco, paper, glue, and thousands of chemicals.
And there is a very good chance that some day soon you won't even want to.

Having said that, I really like the DK-TAB from Dekang, and the Full Flavored Tobacco from Gourmet Vapor.

Your mileage, and taste, may and probably will vary though.
That is just the way it works.
:)

Can anyone point me to a juice flavor that resembles du Maurier , which is a Canadian cig .
Now this I might be able to help with.

The Canadians are always looking for du Maurier flavor.
And there is a flavor called Do More Eh that many like quite a bit.

The Canadian Vapors subforum can probably help you out more than I can though...

Lots of people are 901 fans. I personally need a stronger hit so i go with the 510. I started with the regular batteries, then i went to mega's, and now all i use is my nicostick style box mod (that fits a 510 atomizer). As far as your juice question im not sure what those cigs taste like, but there are many many different tobacco flavors available to you from a huge number of vendors. I personally use StrictlyEjuice.com, Flavor Shop! for my usual Camel, Marlboro, Turkish blend, and flu cured. But when i got the extra cash i go with www.halocigs.com. I would warm up with strickly and try their different tobaccos, or check out the classifieds section. I hope you have an awesome experience with your e-cig! ive been tobacco free for 2 years now thanks to them. Oh, and welcome to the forum :)

If it gets you off smokes you picked the right one, dont worry you'll have 2 or 3 in a few months anyway. i have 3 now and eyeballing a mod now. we all think we want something that tastes like the real thing but real they are nasty, you just need to get a bunch of small bottle of juice and you will find something you like way better then a real one..i would have never thought about vapin thin mint cookies but you know its pretty damn good. but why pick one flavor i vape tobacco, menthol, sweet stuff , and fruit it all depends on what im eating or drinking or sometimes i just vape a whole meal and forget to eat:)

MaxTO, don't listen to any DSE901 haters, I've been using this model for almost 2 years and I still love it! The 901 really gives you better flavor than alot of other models. I get plenty of vapor and throat hit too, depending on the juice. The one adjustment I made though was to FINALLY break down and try the extra long (XL) manual battery from V4L (Vapor4Life). It kicks the whole experience up a notch. But I still use the smaller auto batts when I want to be using my hands and not pressing a button. You're gonna like that 901 I guarantee it!

Hey Maxto, I started with a 901 and had good luck with it, but like most the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence, so I have tried some others. Its all in what you want, longer bat. life, size, th or what ever. I just keep reading and seeing what others have found out and go from there. I still have the 901s for back up, but have gone to a box mod for longer bat. life. I also like the lr attys.

Yup you did good , especially if it's workin' for you !

I really like my 901's , I got 10 attys to start & am only on my second one , 90 days in .
And the 1st one I thought I had killed, just tasted really bad & wouldn't produce much of a hit .
I ended up taking the bridge & wicking out of it & now WOW it is GREAT to drip on !
So actually they both still work ....

I use them with 901 batts & kr808 batts & I just got a 901/808 passthru !!!
It amazes me how different all my options taste & feel .
I also got a RIVA /510 tho (hubby bought it  )
I do NOT like it the 510 is just tasteless w/little vapor compared to the 808's & 901's ,
So I ordered an adapter so I can use my 901's on it and am hopeful that it will be a whole new level of vaping !!!
Just got it ( an hour ago ) YAY so I will try it soon

So what I am trying to say is The 901 can be very versatile it's just up to you to try different set up's & variations !!

GOOD LUCK with IT !! & Happy Vaping !
& sorry I have no info on the tobacco flavors GACCCCK !!
Gave that up pretty much the 1st week

If you've been using batteries the size of a cig, you should be getting tired of charging about every time you turn around. The riva will fix that problem. 510 models are more widely used, IMO, and seem to made with just about every mod I've seen also. You have a lot to learn and experience so as mentioned, start trying as many different flavors as you can. Also, try to remember just about all of our parts are disposable. When you make hardware orders, I would suggest to try a 901 and 510 atomizer and cartomizer in both styles. You'll know which one you prefer. The newest rave in cartomizers is the cE2 or E2. With a few small easy tweaks, it seems to be a very efficient unit. It also appears you have 3.7v devices. LR (low resistance) units bring out the best in your batteries. I don't think they're advised to be used with a mini battery b/c the circuitry cant handle the current. I've used LR on my ego(riva) with no obvious problems though I think they say it shortens the lifespan. There are threads on the topic.

Well I was trying to be brief but wow. Figure out what you like and use the forum anytime you have questions.

You guys have been great and I appreciate the replies :2cool:

I , having tried it , have decided to order some extra batteries for my ecig as well as a few different juices . I am still pretty clueless as to what jucies are out there as I have only seen the few listed on E-cigarette-USA . Needless to say , I am looking for other as much info as possible on other flavors and suppliers .

Was also wondering how long does an atomizer last ?

I have been an analog smoker for over 23 years until the last 2 days... It will be impossible to mimic any comercial particular brand to perfection because as in one of the aforementioned post... we were not tasting nor smoking real tobacco....
Case in point when I visited certian of my Native American relatives... and would partake of the 'real deal' organically grown tobaccos ..(albeit there are many varities) - none were ..'like my commercial chemically poisoned varities) ...
That being said .. most analogers have never had real tobacco to begin with....

It is a full onslaught to the senses for some in this regard and also a major part of the addiction i think as well..

The best one can do.. is to use the veracity of the desire (if it exists) for a bettter lifestyle -
.. and to accept an awakening in there perceptions of what is good after so many years of programed pavlovian response to deadly chemicals with some tobacco added....

SO have fun in the journey of new flavors and the alchemist like playground to find the gold you seek... :)

Last night I ordered some flavored juices and I was wondering can the already flavored cartridges that came with my starter kit be filled with the new juice packs that I have ordered , once the carts are drained of course .

Also do I need to wash the carts before filling or would they have been emptied already buy simple usage ?

Thanks again all

Not a thing in the world wrong with the 901. If you are thinking about using a 510 just go to madcaps and get one 510 atomizer and an adapter 901 to 510. They are listed as battery style first-901 to atomizer style-510. That is the cheapest, easiest way to check out the 510! Good Luck.
If the 901 is working for you and you have greatly reduced/eliminated your cigarette intake then I'd say you made a great choice.

You definitely can reuse those carts. If the flavor you purchased is close to matching the cart flavor no need to clean. If its completely different then use some tweezers, pull out the filler and rinse in really hot water. Get a paper towel and roll the filler in it to dry the filler and restful into the cart. Before re-stuffing put about 10 drops of liquid in the cart then slowly put the filler back in and top off with more e-liquid.
