BTW . . . after trying multiple flavors, I find "I" prefer tobacco flavors. I received a new one today from My Vapor Store. It's their High Caliber Hickory tobacco and WOW, it's wonderful!! Not as good in the carto, but dripping . . . the closest thing to smoking I've experienced yet!! Keep experimenting until you find yours . . . and good luck!!!!!!!!

Hi all

thanks for all the tips. I woke up this morning an tried the e-cig with my coffee, as that was one of the things i miss the most, smoking with coffee first thing in the AM!

I inhaled much slower and the throat hit was much less noticiable. So thanks for that tip!

I think I am going to order some more cartomizers from smokeless image today. Question: will other cartomizers from other websites work on the volt e-cig ?

You have to use Kr808d-1 cartomizers with the Volt. Thry are available at a lot of sites!!

hi all

thanks for the encouragement. BTW I am using 12mg on the e-cig. Does that seem appropriate for someone who was smoking 1/2 pack to 1 pack of marlboro lights per day?

That seems appropriate however I don't think you will see much TH go up with an upgrade to their 18s I believe don't quote me if I'm wrong lol. I smoke 24mgs and as a pack a day Camel Menthol Light guy myself, I use the same brand you are using with a different battery I got from ww.v4l.com the Kr808d-1s are a little less voltage I think again don't quote me, however you would need a different charger, sorry the sleeke Volt charger will only work with Volt and Bloog batteries.

If you can learn to stomach that annoying TH, and you will, I did, you can curb your cravings by gradually increasing your nic level, the best way is get some liquid as they said and use the empty carto's available through Volts website. Now the other thing you may want to do is try some sights such as Altsmoke.com or E-liquidplanet, and some other guys can chime in, and get VG and VG/PG combo's to see if that curbs your TH problem. Me personally I will deal with TH til I find the perfect prefilled carto, but I'm lazy. If you are willing to do just a small amount of extra work, and some cleaning lol, dripping might be the answer for you. You can go all the way up to 36mg nic levels so nic cravings won't be a problem, I would start by increasing to 18mg, you seem like you are kind of ok at 12 but need a boost, if that doesn't do it switch to 24, I would order a 18mg and 24mg just in case the 18 isn't quite strong enough. And be to watch some tutorials on filling carts, and not to fill with battery attatched.

I have some new 808 cartos on order that should be here next week and I will try them out, they are all 24's and I will let you know how the TH goes, one brand is 100% VG and VG brands have been very smooth for me in the past, but never really found a prefilled until now, try filling if you like that then run with it. I will let you know how these other carts work out, another guy seemed to like them. Keep trying, its worth it, and as always Happy Vaping.

Well I guess I will give you a rundown of the sites I am trying Carto's from to give you some research material, since you use pretty much the same model as me:

E-cigarette - V4L Vapor4Life - Vapor King - best e-cig - smoking alternatives! - not bad on the throat though the vapor is IMO a bit weak and you have to take long drags
Electronic Cigarette | E Cigarette | Bloog E-Cigs | Bloog MaxxFusion E-Cigarettes - Pretty much smokelessimage is the cheaper clone but maybe you will like their carts better
Electronic Cigarettes from Cigeasy - Home of the Easy E-Cigarette - they sent me a free one not sure what it is somewhere between a coffee and tobacoo flavor pretty nice, and smoothe, but same design as v4l which was their older model. Trying out their newer models available.
www.PrimeVapor.com - 100% VG seem to have good reviews recommended by a ECF member.
Cartridges for SmokeTip Electronic Cigarettes - another ECF member recommendation for 808's Not high nic but I have found that sometimes the concentration is off so their high may be higher then I think.
5 pack, Yellow Cartomizers - these are empties I wanted to try because they make a claim of 99% burn resistant material and no chemical taste.

There are many many more but these are the ones I dubbed worth the try this time around, hope your search for the perfect vape goes well. Happy Vaping.

Left this one out http://21centurysmoking.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=66

They claim to last as long as a pack and a half of cigs, this is likely untrue unless they are using some different blend of liquid or filler material. Anyways they had strawberry and I can't turn down the chance to say to another vendor, "is it too much to ask to get a strawberry that tastes like strawsberrys" I don't think it is, if theirs is good though it might be my go to, can't wait to see. A bit more pricy but I will pay for my pleasure lol.

http://lecig.com/ - adding this one, just reallized they are the same style in their D-1, they also offer adapters, and you can get cheaper adapters here at www.litecigusa.net if you see some carts you want to try out or if you want to see how another emty performs on your batt, alot of people like boge 510 for filling so you might want a 808-D1 to 510 adapter for dripping later on.

Hope this helps will definitely save you money rather than having to buy a whole new unit, I wish I knew about the whole adapter thing way bac when myself.
