Hello everyone, I've been very interested with Clapton coils since rip trippers posted his Clapton tutorial a few years ago and after watching the Clapton coils evolve for the last couple years, last week I decided to try my hand at buildings some fused Clapton for my first Clapton's. So I went on Amazon and bought some 24g kanthal and 36g kanthal. My first attempt wasnt really all that bad imo. I wasn't using swivels, just supporting the loose 24g and letting the 36 wind on it was a pain in the ....

[/IMG] 'll post a coil pic of it when I figure out how to post pics to the thread from my phone. Lol. So back to it. Yesterday I went and bought a clamp and 4 ball bearing swivels.

Straightened out about 3 feet of 24g doubled it up on my swivels leaving me with about 1.5 feet of parallel 24g. I then attached my 36g to the bit of wire perpendicular to the wire in my drill stuck a pen in my spool and spun away. It was so much easier than the first time. And they were nearly perfect I would highly recommend for anyone wanting to try building fused Clapton's.
