Been eye balling the chucks and another user that built one out of brass pipe and end caps, so I played around in the garage after work today and came up with this.

Note to future modders, USE A DRILL PRESS TO DRILL THE CONNECTOR HOLE, or it will end up crooked, like mine :(

Ugly as sin, but it works soooo good. Been hacking and coughing all evening trying to get used to the extra vapor

My boss has a metal lathe and milling machine, I may go play with it and see if I can make it smoother and prettier looking. Minus the batteries and super mini parts I already had, this build cost me 12 bucks for the brass, and 2.99 for the switch. I'm really happy with how well it does.

made my first mod last night! used a magnum flashlight (cost me around $4)..removed the top part where the lens is...then soldered a tactile switch. I used a coaxial socket as the connector (for my 510 atty)...the atty screws at the back of the coaxial connector ..not all the way in..but enough to hold it firmly...

i kept the main switch located at the bottom of the battery pack...which means i can shut down the whole system (and not worry about accidentally pressing the tactile switch ..since if the main switch is off...then even if the tactile switch is pressed..the atty wont fire up)..

I will still have to mold the top (where the connector is located) so that the connector will be firmly in place...will probably use some epoxy glue for this...then after exopy mold hardens..i will use some touch up paint to do the finishing on it!!!

btw, the system runs using the orig battery casing on the flashlight...3 x AAA batteries...so total current is around 3.6v (using li rechargables...)...great vapes so far!!!

dont seem to know how to load the pics....

IMO anything you build yourself and that functions better than some off the rack item is a thing of beauty. Part of the learning process is making screw ups (bad part is they generally = $$$) Been wanting to do a pipe mod myself, the only bad part of all this is-now that I started, I can't stop, lol. Oh-and nice name btw :D

Where did you find this at? A link to this part would be great.
you can get it at any hardware store...look for coaxial connectors (used on rg59 cables)...there aqre several kinds...just look for the ones with thread at the bottom end...

by the way, havent really been getting long vapin hours on my mod...am using 3 x aaa rechargeable NiMh 1.2 volts 1000ma run in series....vapin hours just about same as the orig 501 batteries...
