All PG(and vg) is not created equal. While I haven't come across any that were "peppery", I have tasted a bitterness in some. If your PG is giving an unwanted taste, try a different vendor.

*Mike, there are endless recipes that you could make with those flavors. Let your palate be your guide. Start with a base flavor and work your way into the final recipe. I start with a couple flavors that I think will work well together. I then add more 1 at a time, testing after each addition. If your goal is complexity, ie. multi- dimensional, there will be many failures so keep your batches small. I also test in a dripper as well as a tank. This may not apply to you as my goal is usually to create something I can put on the shelf. If your flavoring gets overpowering, dilute it with vg/pg but remember to keep track of it in your notes to get your overall percentages. An 8 flavor recipe may be awful at 30% total flavoring, but may sing when diluted to 20%. Good luck and have fun.

I never nailed it. I became a little obsessed and when I got to the point that my recipes had more flavors than I could count on two hands I threw in the towel. I don't know what brands of vg/pg/nic she is using and this makes a difference in the end product. I do make a few creamy strawberry juices as they're my favorite. They are all different(more fruit/more cream/more spice). I gave up on trying to re-create what others had done and trusted that I could create something that I would enjoy just as much, maybe even more. I honestly don't remember what Mothers Milk even tastes like, but I'm glad I tried to clone it.

How long have you been diy? You steep all your juices before making final judgment? How long?

*I took a quick look at your flavors on the previous page. The first thing that jumped out at me:

Cheesecake 10%
Cinnamon Danish Swirl 1-2%
Blueberry or Strawberry 5%
Bavarian Cream 1-2%
Sweet Cream 1%

Strawberry or Blueberry Cheese Danish

These numbers may need a little tweaking. Maybe 0.5% Butter

Mike there is no way your going to have a custard / cream base heat steep and it be as good as it will 21 days later that being said 545cb how would you add a little and taste ? Were talking about a gourmet recipe right ?
You could mix the cream base with a little higher nic to account for your future pg flavors and let it oxidize 17 days then start adding one flavor ratio at a time.I mix 50ml custard / cream / VC batches in little 120ml mason jars heat 3 hours and use a hand frothing mixer 2 times for the first week.
Mike, I have heard of pear being a likely ingredient but not plum...

just saying you might have an alcohol or chemical taste up front and after 21 days seems like the molecules bond and become outstanding, you keep working on this and I seriously think you will not want MM anymore cause yours will be better !! cause I already know you like the other one with more strawberry....so work on both changing ratio's, don't get crazy with your ratio's meaning just cause it calls for 10% doesn't mean you have to add 10%, try a 50/50 vg/pg base and maybe some vapors tek nic ?......

Nah I've been mixing 60/40 blends lately to speed up the steeping process I add the pg how water steep and froth then I add the vg and repeat the process let it sit with the cap off over night around 12 hours and then taste it and decide if it's worthy of a steep and yeah if your working with high percentages you get a chemical tastes but I usually try to not use high percentages of flavoring some flavorings don't really improve with steeping also like fruits nuts etc there good from the get go

I decide on a base and mix a few in different ratios. Mix and run through the ultrasonic. Taste. Make notes. Split the base into more bottles. Add subsequent flavors one at a time in different amounts and flavors, ultrasonic, taste, etc. When I'm working with a new recipe I don't use nic. My main goal is to get flavoring percentages/combos. Once I have a few recipes I think will work I'll make a batch of each with all my flavors added at the same time, this time include the nic and steep naturally (read no ultrasonic). Test every week. They may need tweaking as they don't always taste the same when flavors added 1 at a time vs all at once. This process takes a lot of time and effort, not to mention patience. I'm averaging 1 new juice per month. I'd love to have my own juice line someday, but I'm not there yet.
