My first manual battery, is there a learning curve with this thing?

I received my Halo G6 kit yesterday. I got one auto & one manual battery, some pre-filled carts, a mini tank and some juice. I followed the charging directions for first time use, and the auto works great but I just don't seem to get the same results with the manual. Very little throat hit at all, and have to pull so hard that I end up with a headache. I'm using the same pre filled carts on both batteries, I haven't had a chance to try the tank or juice yet.

This is not my first experience with ecigs, I gave up analogs completely over three years ago. During that time I have experimented with some crappy kits and disposables. I went with the Halo G6 because of great reviews and I don't regret it, the auto battery is by far the best experience I've had with vaping, and I've already ordered a second one, along with more juice & blank carts.

Any opinions on why the manual isn't measuring up to my expectations? I was really excited to try it based on all my research, but I don't think its going to be my cup of tea.

If you are having to pull hard it may be a clogged air-pathway. If The cart pulls fine on the auto and not the manual then it may be simply clogged in some fashion. I have had two atomizers from the same pack pull very differently until I used a needle to clear a hole that managed to get clogged up somehow. I also find that when I use an auto battery that I pull much more slowly on purpose because I want it to heat up more and produce more vapor.

It's funny....after a while most prefer the manual. Not to say that you should or must.

Some "tricks":
A) Long-slow pulls
B) press the button AHEAD of time. Don't get stuck trying to time it perfectly. It actually helps to press it ahead of drawing on it.
C) Like mentioned above...make sure the air holes aren't clogged. And swap atomizers/cartos to make sure it isn't the carto that's the problem.
