Well I finally assembled my first mod today. I made a very small nicostik out of a 2aa box with a recessed atty/carto connector. Nothing fancy or that hasn't been done before but I am quite proud of myself seeing as how I've never soldered or mad anything electrical and did the whole job only using a Swiss army knife and a soldering iron. Here's some pics.

Next to a mini bic lighter. (the extremely small bic not the normal size)

Internals with boge carto connected.

Fully assembled.
Uses a single protected 10440 and vapes like a champ. Overall I think it's a very clean build with very clean soldering. So now I try something a little harder next. Variable voltage. Heh. Now officially a mod addict.

for the vv mod, check out radio shack. They have 1200mah 3.7v (i think, might be 3.0) 1/2aa recharge batts. You could squeeze two in the batt spot of ur mod posted and may have room for the vv chip. I'm working on the same thing right now.

Nice work cat! Building one will give you the bug for sure!

hey nj.... are you using the TI chip for your vv mod?

Are they protected bats? Looking on there and see some but not 1200mah. Can you link it? Thanx.

Well done bcat, and done with a swiss army knife too. Hmmmm imagine if you used real tools. Now on to your V.V.

Lol this thread is ancient. I already made and sold plenty of vv mods as well as 5v. Had a successful business and then shut it down just before Xmas. Heh.
