Day one with the screwdriver was really nice.

The batteries actually seemed to come with a charge, as it only took me about an hour to fully charge each one, and its been going for a long time (And having just got it you know I've been getting quite some use of it).

It came with two 901 attys and two 510 LR attys with a little silver adapter for it. It came with 901 carts but not 510 carts; fortunately I had such an animal handy to play with it.

The vapor production is really just fantastic, and even moreso with that 510 LR (that gives something around 5 watts). the flavour reduction is noticable with the 510, but conversely the vapor production and throat hit is much improved. Those LR attys tend to fry, apparently, so I'm not sure if i'm going to go with that. (since going through so many isn't going to be the most economical course of action) A couple a month at most would be fine, probably, so we'll see how it goes. I tend to prefer the 510 attys, and so I did put in an order for a couple spares to give them a fair shake.

The screwdriver itself is absolutely great. I've not tried another mod, but if you told me there was a better one, then I'm going to be pretty skeptical .

The only negatives that I can think of is that this thing boils juice by the cc! I may just be a lighter user than average, or have a higher tolerance for nic withdrawls, but with my old e-cig, I've been accustomed to only going through about 1 full cart a day, maybe two on a heavy day. With this thing I should probably just carry around a bottle of juice with me!

The other negative is the funny looks you get from people; my other one at least looked like a cigarette so you only get DIRTY looks from people using it ;), but with this one you get serious "WTF" looks from people.

This could be viewed as a plus, of course, because since I am a manager in the convenience store business, I see a lot of cigarette smokers fairly constantly, and them seeing this device gives me a very keen opportunity to tell them a little about the wonderful world of vaping.

As to the future, I knew from the start that the SD MkII was "The one". But now that I have one, I'm even more tempted to try out more mods. I definitely want to see what the fuss is all about with this re-vamped MkI SD (perhaps more of an MKIII?). I'll probably try every flavor of juice on the market (except for menthol. Not keen on menthol.), and I'm going to give some different filler mediums a try to see if I can't come up with one that gives me a more effective 'cartridge life'.

I just bought the Sparkplug SP2 and it is a great mod with a big advantage over the Screwdriver. The button is recessed, so you don't have to deal with the button cap that the MKII uses. I'm using 510 atomizers on both, and they both perform great. the SP2 came from LiteCig, and only cost $54 for the kit - half the amount of the MKII.......

Hello and Welcome

Great review;)
I am looking for a new mod but afraid this might be too big for me. What do you think?

It depends on what you judge to be "too big" really. This thing is rather longer than an analog cigarette. Perhaps something like 1 1/2 times the length, but it fits comfortably in the palm of the hand, and is not at all a problem to have in your pocket.

First "better battery" PV I bought back in '09 was the original Screwdriver. There have been so many advances since then I am suprised the SD is still around. After vaping at 5 volts for a year and now using a variable volt (Darwin) and mostly vaping at 4.7 volts, I can't imagine going back to 3.2 -3.7 volts again. I always liked the size and shape of the SD, other than the bottom button on the original.

Having your PV NOT look like an analog is a BIG plus, IMO.
