Hi everyone - I've been reading this forum, almost obsessively, for a couple of months now but this is my first post. Just wanted to share my story with you. I'm so happy to say that I haven't touched an analog since the day my 510 kit arrived 33 days ago. I feel so much better since quitting, after getting through the week or so of withdrawal symptoms. The dizziness and lightheadedness was the worst of it. Felt like someone suddenly put me on top of Mount Everest and left me there for a week. But I felt good nonetheless as I knew this was the start of all those nasty chemicals leaving my body. Good riddance.

I'm 38 and have smoked for 20 years. Pack a day mild cigarettes. I've tried quitting before, cold turkey, nicorette gum, nicorette inhaler and none worked for more than a couple of weeks at best and it was a struggle every minute of every day. The nicorette gum tasted god awful and the inhaler didn't do a thing to stop cravings. vaping on the other hand completely replaced smoking for me from day one. I'm totally in love with the Turkish Blend tobacco. I mix that with a little VG and a couple of drops of FlavourArt Desert Ship tobacco and I'm in heaven. The thought of smoking an analog is not even a thought for me anymore. My family and friends don't really understand all the ins and outs of vaping of course but I have sent them a few videos shown here and they have been really supportive.

Like all new users, I wasn't sure what to expect (if I would have trouble filling carts, if I would like the taste, was this going to be a total waste of money etc.) but I took the plunge and I'm really pleased to say that it's all working out great and I'm amazed at how easy it's been for me to leave the analogs behind this time. I haven't had any negative side effects from vaping either. Just a little dry throat the first few days but that's it. After a week or so of trying different juices and strengths, I've found what works for me and got into my little routine of cleaning atties and cart fillers and everything is great in my new vaping world.

I want to send out a HUGE thanks to the ECF community for making this life changing transition possible for me. My initial research into e-cigs lead me to Chinese sites and free trial offers and no real concrete info from actual users. It was hard to tell which sites were rip-offs and which were valid. Then I found ECF and got all the info I could have ever wanted. From videos on how to fill a cart with a syringe to which suppliers to avoid and of course DonDaBoomVape's "Wonderful World of Vaping" was invaluable.

Through ECF I also found 2 great suppliers in Canada to order my starter kit and juice from so that alleviated my worries about customs issues. Thank you Jack at Happy Vaper and Rob at Evapers for answering all my questions and providing excellent customer service the whole way through. The customer service from the suppliers in the vaping community is beyond amazing. I didn't know customer service like that still existed in this world!

Yikes, this ended up being a lot longer than I was expecting. So thanks to you all again and sorry for being so long winded!

Congrats LoungeMuffin! I'm at about the same place as you - 37 days - and haven't touched an analog since the day I got my 510 as well! It's amazing, isn't it?

I started vaping with no intention of quitting. Just cutting down would have made it worth it. Wow... it still boggles my mind that I have no desire to smoke. What a painless, pleasurable way to finally end a life long love/hate relationship with smoking!

Congrats on your first post too! I have a lot of fun on here. It's a great place to hang out with people who get the whole vaping thing, and I'm still learning :)
