So I just received my first E-cig earlier today after much research on this site I decided on on the Vapor King from V4L. :) For the guys at V4L thank you for all the freebies the menthol u sent i never thought i would like and already I have fell in love with it. But at any rate every night after work I go out with my colleagues and have a few cocktails which is when i want to smoke the most so i decided to leave the last of my analogues at home and see how I could handle just having the VK with me. Suprisingly it went awesome I didnt really crave a regular smoke all night. My colleagues kinda laughted at first and were curious what i was puffin on but one of the guys that I thought would be the biggest skeptic (smoker for 35yrs)took a drag off of it and was blown away needless to say he is now very interested in getting one. I just wanted to say thanx to everyone that supports this forum for all the knowledge i received and I see a long road ahead for me and vapin.:D

You will find that happens a lot. Just try not to be too surprised when it goes the other direction! :D

As counter-intuitive as it may seem, non-smokers and die-hard smokers seem to be (generally) more accepting of vaping. As a former die-hard, I imagine that is because they never thought they could quit. I always had the idea that I would die a horrible death from lung disease. You have just opened a new possibility for them.

I'm the same way, never thought I would go a day without a smoke, let alone 50! Take as many people with you as you can but don't be disappointed when some can't make the change.

I ending my first week vaping after 23 years of smoking a pack a day... I am thrilled at the possibility of completely quitting analogs (down to 1 or 2 a day!) and don't believe that I could do this any other way. I have yet to try the Drinking Test.. So far I am failing the 1st thing in the morning test and the right after dinner test but otherwise am doing good and see the light at the end of the tunnel!

Thanks to everyone here for contributing to such a great resource!

It only gets better!

Although I feel I am alone, because no one local seems to commit to staying off the cigs. They use it as a partial substitute to use indoors only when convenient.

Moms bought me my first one, yet every time I visit, she goes to the garage and smoke. I am more than 6 months smoke free!

I hope you can stick with it. I have a few every night once the kids are in bed, and this has not really been a problem (staying away from the "Smokes").

The drinking test was definately my biggest worry. Thats when i really like to chain smoke and the part that had given me the biggest problem when trying to quit in the past. I figured the the best way to tackle it was to just leave the analogs at home and jump head first into trying to drink and only have the PV with me, like i said it went really well and i surprised myself. Where i live you can still smoke in bars so i definately got alot of questions from people in the bar wondering what the heck it was. I live in a rural area so nobody had ever seen or heard of anything like it before but almost everyone was very intrigued and interested in the way it worked and that it actually feels like you are smoking without all the horrible stuff in analogs. So far so good im luvn it.
