I very recently bought a Kanger Pro tank 3 (dual coil) and screwed it on one of my Ego C Twist batteries. It did not really impress me but it was nicer than a lot of others that I have used. After reading about rebuilding micro coils and standard heads on this forum, I decided to convert one of the heads on my new PT3 to single coil. I used 3mm silica wick (I burned it first with a torch lighter) and 32 gauge kanthal. I made 9 wraps and I forgot to used my ohm meter (dammit! LOL) and when dry burned it, it worked great! I loaded up the tank and gave it a few minutes and I must say that I think it works and tastes better than the original. Oh, and I added a piece of 2mm silica wick on top of the head to keep it from leaking and so far there has been none. I just want to give a big thanks to all of you on here. Without this forum I would have never stopped smoking and I would have never learned all of these fun, money saving tricks and tips! I think I will rebuild the next one with 30 and see if I like it better. What do you folks think?

How did you take the atomizer apart, dknight? I hate my PT3, it pops and crackles (more than normal) and it seems the coils are the problem. I would like to add more wicking to it, but I haven't the slightest clue how to take them apart. And from others' accounts about the PT3 on here, it seems nearly impossible.
