My first setup to try out vaping is officially in the mail. I wanted to get some input from more experienced members to see if i'm on the right track. First of all, I want to get into mech mods. I did some research and decided that it would be best to get a vv/vw mod first though in case I were to make any noob mistakes. I ended up getting a VAMO mod because of the protection, options of using different batteries, and good reviews of reliability while not breaking the bank. Also it has options to check resistance of any atomizers i put on it. Next, I probably jumped ahead too quickly for a first setup. I got a Phoenix Dripping RBA and an AGA-T+ with the pyrex tank. I wanted something that was gonna last and save me money in the long run. Let me know what you guys think about my setup.

1- Vamo vv/vw Mod
1- AGA-T+ RBA
1- Pyrex tank for the AGA
1- Phoenix RBA Dripping Atomizer
2- 18350 Batts.
2- 18650 Batts
1- Battery Charger
1- Ego Jumbo Case

I also ordered 4 - 30ml of juice and a wrap for it

Honestly - I don't think there's necessarily anything wrong with starting with rebuildables. There's a learning curve to just about everything in vaping. It may be a bit steeper for you with that setup, but you're starting out at a point most of us progress to pretty quickly. If it's not working and you get frustrated - sure, use a clearo to get you through it!

Oh - if you don't already have one, I recommend picking up a multimeter.

What J² said. Always have a backup in place in case your original plan leaves you cussing in a language you don't even know. Which is how my first few weeks with RBA's went. "When did I learn swahili?" But after a few weeks, it got easier and now I could probably roll a wick and wrap a coil in my sleep.

looks good to me. u might want to pick up some clearos for variety of juice.
& some backup ego batteries or a cheap backup mod.
also, if u havent recieved this all yet.... ur gonna have a fuuun time with the aga lol.
you should definitely get some clearos t3 or vivi, until you master rebuilding.

GL on ur vape journey.

I just got the Vamo two days ago :) nice piece of kit and I`ve got the AGA-T2 coming tomorrow........I`ll let you know how i get on with that! but I`ve been re-wicking and re-coiling Kanger Evods for a couple of weeks now so should be simple enough    :D

Are you going to start with Silica rope or SS mesh on the AGA's ?
I just entered a COOP for AGA-T+ , can't wait to get my paws on them. In the mean time i re-wick Kanger T2's and they're soo much better than stock.

thanks everyone for the feedback. I wanted to get a vivi nova too and after hearing your feedback makes me think i should get one now. Like you guys said, i might have problems building at first and i should have a backup. Thx.

It's nothing wrong with RBA's but IMHO you should start small and build up.

There is one thing that i don't quite understand yet. I'm sure it will come with experience but how do i know what voltage or wattage to vape with? Should i just follow the power charts? Also how do mech mods adjust power? I'm assuming it is just the resistance of the atomizer that matters but I don't know

Mech mods don't adjust - the output you get is dependent on the voltage of the battery you're using and will decrease over the life of a single charge: from 4.2V fully charged to around 3.3V when depleted.

With regard to what wattage you should be vaping at: it's personal preference. Start at around 5.5 - 6.0W and work your way up from there. Without wanting to complicate things further, you may well find that you prefer a different wattage on your RBA (when compared to other juice delivery systems) because they hit harder.
