Taking my first dive after a week of forum reading, am I missing something?

Here is my order list and what I decided to purchase. Rebuildables seem the way to go from what I've read and watched so my ordering reflects that.

I mostly order 50/50 pg/VG for my first liquid order. Also purchased a few drip tips, and picked up some wick to at least try.

Should i get anything else? I tried to be as thrifty as possible and use coupon code where I could.

Looks good to me... I would only use the aga -t, I never liked the pheonix but others might disagree. Also watch this video for coil set up Z-ATTY-PRO Rebuildable Atomizers For ProVari - YouTube it's a good place to start IMO. Read as much as you can with wick about wick and coil setups, they are super annoying if you have never done it before, but in the end its worth it. Also a lot of people might say this is not the best set up for beginners but if you read enough I think youll be ok.

I guess Ill find out soon. I think I've watched over 200 wick videos etc and I'm expecting some early hassle but im not a smoker so I have all the time in the world to fail and try again :) Purchased all no nic juices. Tried a few ecigs here and there, and I find them to be delicious and low calorie.

I'll check that video out too. Watching and reading seems to help with the anticipation.

If you don't mind me asking, why do you want to get into vaping if your not a smoker? I'm just asking cause if I personally didn't smoke and didn't use vaping to quit smoking I probably wouldn't pick it up. However if I did do what your doing I would stick with zero nicotine, no sense in introducing nicotine to your body for no reason.

I have a few friends and acquaintances who use these devices, and I get to try them from time to time. They always taste good and seem like fun gadgets. They appeal to me mostly for the taste I guess. No nicotine in anything I ordered. Hopefully that doesn't affect the taste.

Who knows... Maybe I can get work breaks throughout the day with the smokers :)

Oh alright, Vaping can be enjoyable once you get things sorted out so good luck with everything. Dont worry about the lack of nicotine messing with the flavor, I think the lower nic juices taste better anyway. Also the throat hit will still be good with the aga, I actually just ordered one myself tonight since they are so inexpensive compared to a z atty.... Which they have in stock at 310vapers.com if your looking to have the best and have some cash laying around. They also look great on a vamo, not that the aga doesnt. Optimized-vamo.jpg

If you don't have one, a multimeter is essential when using the rebuildables; dead shorts can be expensive and/or dangerous depending on the device you're using. I believe the Vamo has short circuit protection but I'm not 100% positive. I didn't see any spare wick for the phoenix on your list; silica, cotton, bamboo are among your options. You may also need a teeny-tiny screwdriver for the Phoenix as well. Also, if you're truly new to the vaping scene, I would recommend getting some regular cartos/attys for use while you're still figuring out the build process.

I figured that I would just use the vamo to test resistance and the vamo has protection from shorts from what I've read. I might grab a multimeter, but i will need to do a bit of reading as to which may suit my needs more.

I have a nice jeweler tool set i use for my watch collection, and it should do the trick.

I ordered some nichrome this morning so I can decide for myself which wire i prefer. Probably kanthal since that seems to be favored more often.

I have silica coming and I purchased a yard of unbleached cotton from a local linen shop for a hybrid wick.

I went ahead and just ordered 2 hh. 357 long barrels. 1 2.0 and other 2.5 as per your recommendation.

My phoenix from discount vapers just came in this morning, but i have no juice or mod yet. Much smaller than I realized. I will take up a friend on his offer to give me his old lava tube and maybe some liquid since the Phoenix already has a coil ready to go.

Tried at making a mesh coil and it turned out fairly well. I could only get my hands on pg and 325 mesh, so perhaps wicking could be better. I took some pics. Not sure how good pics are in macro on my phone but here goes.

I know this mesh is pretty tall, but i figured more mesh, more liquid. Fits with top on

Im going to keep posting here as I get things in the mail.

So after 2 days with my phoenix, I've received wick, mesh, wire, 3 of my juice orders, batteries, charger, etc, still no vamo or aga-T.

I came to a few realizations today.

1. I need to clean out my phoenix every time I want to try a new flavor which is every few hours.. I don't enjoy it. To combat that, I ordered 3 more phoenix rba's. 8 dollars each to not clean my Atty all the time seems well worth it.

2. I find myself wanting everything that has ever received a positive reviews.. My fledgling addiction.

3. Juice tastes different without nic in it. I'm not saying bad or good yet, but definitely different and feels different on the throat. The liquid that was given to me was 11-12mg and I purchased the same with no nic.

4. Igetcha or Scott has the best video quality out of reviewers. Nice close ups. Grainy videos annoy me :D

Received 2 more juice orders today. I was really impressed with The Vapor Room. I haven't tried the flavors yet, but they sent me a ton of extra.

I ordered 2 flavors of the week, blueberry cinnamon crumble and and caramel. 30ml each. They sent a 15 ml of cake batter and a 3ml of vannila custard for free. Very nice.

Still waiting for my Alice in vapeland, and rawr shipments, and I can't wait. I love surprises.

Ecblends also sent a few 3ml freebies, and were the cheapest eliquid I ordered. Good stuff, I was pleasantly surprised and will be going back to them again if I ever get through the 400ml I ordered.

My first coil was kanthal 32awg and this new coil is 32awg nichrome 60. I honestly can't tell the difference except nichrome seems to heat up quicker although the differences is minimal.
