After a long day of school and work I go home to vapmail! Well like a fat kid that just got a chocolate bar I ripped open the package. I ordered some Smoktech AROs and I was excited to use them because they are made of Pyrex glass!

Well needless to say I overlooked the plastic tip that is built into it deeming it essentially an expensive evod. I load up a known tank cracker juice because its a Pyrex tank and take hits of wonder! Mmm it was good, but all of a sudden that plastic tip melts and liquid all over me. ...

I wish the manufacturers would get a complete clue. Prior to learning about tank cracking juice, I melted a lot of gear. The drip tips are frequently the first thing to go. I use safe materials, so I haven't paid attention for awhile; in fact, I forgot and was using an acrylic tip the other day...oops! The bottom got mushy in 48 hours.

Smoketeck aros with the pyrex glass tank have METAL tips ....
Only the smaller plastic tanks have plastic tips ...

Either you ordered the wrong ones, or they sent you the wrong ones.... double check your order

This Manufacturer did get a clue - My money is that the peep got all excited about the great pyrex and METAL tip one - then swooped over to the cheap version - plastic tank and plastic tip - 2.0 tank to save 2 dollars - and failed to read the description that very clearly says this one is cheaper because it's smaller and PLASTIC ...

I have an entire ARO collection - every single pyrex tank has a built in METAL tip ...not the fault of the manufacturer this time.

I meant in general, not specifically directed at the OP. I should have made it clear. The drip tips provided with some of the safe tanks still melt.

That's scary, makes me glad these protanks are all metal. But now I wonder about the rubber gaskets in them and whether they can survive juice that a plastic tip would not.

The materials known to react to flavors are polycarbonate, acrylic, Delrin and various blends of these. They tend to be stiff and aren't likely to be used to make gaskets. My ADV can melt a clearo from across the room, but I've never had a problem with gaskets.

You might find something useful in my blog: EEEKKK! What happened to my tank?

Yep. I purposely ordered a tank cracking cola flavor in order to test the performance of the Aro right after I bought it. It's a very nice, inert tank.
