OK been vaping about a month I have a 510 mech clone and a eGO clone they work fine but I am ready to try somthing a little more advanced.

What I want in a PV descending order of importance
-Solid well built product (duh)
-MICRO USB charging (don't want to deal with proprietary chargers etc, I have a dozens of MICRO USB chargers around for phones etc I really don't even want to mess with mini USB)
-USB pass through
-VV
-VW
-micro controller extras (IE puff counter, resistance calculator, battery indicator)

So far the two mods I have come up with for consideration

innokin itaste vv v3.0
Has the features I want at a resonable price
iTaste VV V3.0 Express Kit - Best Electronic Cigarette | E Cigarette Manufacturer| Innokin

Joye eVic
Has the features I want but is a little expensive
Joyetech eVic starter Kits, Vapor Intelligent Cigarette

Is there something out there that meets my needs that I have not found yet?

Those are the two that fit your list of what you want. There is a difference between them. The iTaste is slimmer than the Evic - more Ego size and is 800mah. The battery is built into the pv. The iTaste is not really what we call a mod, but is a good pv. I'd like one myself.
Its a great size for out and about and has a great form factor.

The Evic does not have a built in battery. The batteries are separate - you charge them separately and put them into the Evic. This is what we commonly call a mod or an APV. The Evic is not heavy, but is a wider diameter than the iTaste - a bigger pv. You can buy different size and color tubes for the Evic so you can use smaller 18350 batteries and change up the color scheme as well. With 18650 batteries you will get more vape time than with an iTaste.

Price wise - you can pick up an iTaste v3 for $35-40
The Evic is around $90-100

There may be cheaper deals for both but those are the general going prices.

Have 3 of each, I'd get both. Fasttech evic kit is $75. You still need 18650's. iTaste 3.0 at iVape is $35. $110 and you're in. Very easy based on your requirements. One main vape, one out and about backup vape. On eVic, make sure wherever you get it from that it has the two screws in the head. These are very cool, but very delicate. Love your choices, particularly the iTaste.

Y don't u consider a li-ion batt mod, like Vamo, it's a steal, the evic is good but I don't recommend it cause of the usually faulty charging port. Well, just saying, vape on.

I travel, and I dont want to worry about chargers and crap. I always have a usb wall wart and micro cable with me so I want to be able to charge that way.

So you can't actually charge via the micro usb port on the eVic? Is that only for firmware upgrades etc?

You can charge via the micro usb port - or you can take the battery out and charge it separately. Its different to most other mods in having both of those options.

You can charge the battery in the eVic. That is one positive aspect for new mod users. You don't have to buy a separate battery charger. Although, I don't think it is pass through, so when you charge the battery with the Evic, you can't puff on it.

Personally, I'd go with an eVic. It has more growing room. I have the old innokin VV and I never use it now that I have a zmax.

Now that I read that, it isn't very clear. So, the Evic has a separate 18650(?) battery, but will charge it when you plug it in. Normally, in other mods, you would have to recharge 18*** batteries in a separate charger, but you can plug the evic in with the battery and it will charge.

The new iTaste v3 is not the same as the vv one you have. The iTaste v3 has variable wattage, a micro usb port and is a better pv, frankly.
And yes, you have two ways of charging an Evic - take the battery out and charge it in a battery charger, or charge it inside the Evic by using a USB hub.

Better then eVic or better then the old iTaste vv?

Better than the old iTaste vv. You are looking at two quite different kinds of pvs - the iTaste is like an Ego but with better features.
The Evic is a mod - with a lot more features including the computer interface.
Personally, I'd rather charge mod batteries separately in a charger. They can be charged quicker that way.

With the eVic...you can charge and vape (pass through!) I do this quite often when I'm working on my laptop at home or my computer at work. I really like my eVic, but it has a drawback (only 5v), so higher resistance vaping is a bit limited. Not sure if this is something important to you or could be important in the future.

Thanks I may just have to get both. What are the 2 screws for? does that just indicate the version or something?

They stop the head from popping off and tearing out the lead connections when you drop it. Happened to me twice and I have to get re-soldered back together. That's why I have 3, two non-working heads, one newer working one. Yes, like most batts out there, they are not true pass-thru's, you have to charge the batteries AS you use the device, you're not powering the device with usb. This is not unusual, but is quite handy. So, you have to have the batts in the device, then use the usb (or a charger) to charge them while in the device. You can still vape with those in there charging.

Does the iTaste V3 have ego threading? All I can tel is that is is 510, but from the pics I've seen, I can't tell if it has threading for ego, so I can use it with Kanger T2/3 and ProTank...

Yes, iTaste has ego threading. Use with Kanger's all the time. Looks great too.
